Being regular to Amsterdam, have stayed in many of its hotels but this one is the best by far. Good value for money, friendly, helpful staff and excellent location.
Will definitely stay there again. |

"Above and Beyond!"
What a great hotel. The location is right in the middle of the action, close enough to Centraal that you do not have to drag your bags far. The staff is polite and goes above and beyond. We mistakenly left some things in the room safe, and the hotel mailed them back to the states for us free of charge. Would stay there again anytime.

"Will definitely return"
We had an excellent trip to the Victoria Plaza in May. Having previously stayed in the GResham Memphis down by the Museums (which was absolutely fine) we decided to try somewhere nearer the station this time - and we couldn't have picked anywhere closer. The proximity to the station meant that we had a very quick and hassle free journey from the airport.
The hotel's public areas are lovely and the staff extremely helpful which is extremely welcoming after the hustle and bustle of the street outside. Our room (134)looked lovely and had the biggest, comfiest bed ever but it was very very warm and dark - felt a bit like we were down by the boiler room! We probably should have asked for a move , but didn't really want any hassle . We just kept the air conditioning on all night !
The pool is tiny but was very welcome after a hard day pounding the streets and the bar was lovely for a couple of drinks when you get back at night
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel , but there are plenty of places nearby which are fine. We did have a lovely breakfast at a Grand Cafe at the station (on the platform next to Burger King ) apparently it used to be the first class passenger waiting room. Well worth the walk across the road!
If you stay at the Victoria you should also take advantage of being so near the station - take a trip out of town. We went to Haarlem and had a really lovely day wandering round the town.
We'll definately consider staying here next time we pop over to Amsterdam.

"Great hotel. would go again in the future"
We booked this hotel on line, without knowing Amsterdam, and were relieved to find it in such a good location.
The hotel is classy, the staff very helpful, the rooms are very nice and clean and spacious.
It even has a pool, though we hadn't had the chance to go in...
Since it is located near the central bus and train (tram) station, the rooms aren't 100% quiet, but this is hardly noticeable.
The breakfast wasn't included and since it cost 15 euro a person, we gave it up and ate out .
I would definitely go there again if I ever get to Amsterdam again.

"Very nice hotel"
Have just returned from a very pleasant stay in this hotel. This was our first visit to Amsterdam and we were very impressed. The hotel is located opposite Central Station and couldn't have been handier!!
Our room was quite large and very clean. All the public areas in the hotel were lovely and very clean also. We also found the staff to be very friendly. Would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone. We didn't eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the food.

"Excellent hotel"
We, a party of 6 women average age a young 50!, have just returned from a 4 day visit to Amsterdam. This hotel was very well situated, the staff were so friendly and helpful and we would really have no hesitation in recommending it for a stay in this city. Rooms were really nice and very clean. We were all very impressed with the Dutch people, as they are so friendly and nice. Nothing was a bother to the staff and they went out of their way to suggest restaurants, book taxis etc - all with a cheery smile. So nice to get service with a smile for a change.

"Excellent Hotel - Central to Everything"
We spent Easter 2007 at this hotel and had a great time.
The hotel staff are all very helpful and honest. The concierge made the holiday by recommending places to eat and trips to go on and then booking them for you.
The room was clean , clean towels provided everyday.
We didn't have time to use the pool or have an evening meal in the restaurant although I can recommend breakfast - the choice was vast.
The hotel is central to just about everything and we wouldn't hesitate to go back if we decide to visit Amsterdam in the future.
