"Great stay"
We stayed at Hilton ParkSA four nights in April. What a nice hotel, rooms are very cheerful, clean and cozy. We had a room on the 5th floor and the view of Bosphorus was breathtaking at any time of the day and any weather. We had breakfast there once. Everything was so delicious and selection was huge. And again, the view from the rooftop restaurant is awesome.
Location is great. Taksim is 7-10 minutes walk. Taxi to the Old Town Sultanahmet is only couple of dollars.
Personnel were very polite, and friendly, and helpful. I would like to say special thank you to the front desk receptionist who worked nights but unfortunately I don’t know his name.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

"Great base for visiting Istanbul"
We thought that the Hilton ParkSA was the perfect base for visiting Istanbul. It is quiet, clean and comfortable, with an extremely helpful staff. The view from our room was wonderful, as is the view from the restuarant at breakfast, which is a very generous and varied buffet, going well beyond the standard Turkish breakfast.
We agree that the beds were very firm, but no more so than everywhere else we stayed in Turkey. Unlike the other reviewers, I prefer a very firm bed, so I was extremely happy.
The hotel is a bit out-of-the-way, but this is part of its charm. We had no problem directing taxis to the hotel by telling the cab driver it is in Macka and near the Besiktas soccer stadium. If you can handle the steep hills, the hotel is a nice walk to Dolmabahce Palace and the Besiktas ferry station (where you can get ferries up the Bosphorus or simply to the Asian side). It is also an easy walk to Nisantasi, which is Istanbul's answer to Soho in NYC. We didn't see much in the way of galleries, but there are many clothing boutiques and international cafes and bistros if you are looking for something other than Turkish fare.
We would definitely stay there again.

"Very good hotel"
Very nice hotel, modern, great location, and great staff. I was on the executive level and service was impeccable (unlike another review, I got my room service with plates and silver). I agree however that the beds are quite hard. I like them this way but for the average traveler it might be too hard. No problem with shower or tub either, I don't know why they say it's dangerous).
Location is perfect, never had any problems with taxi drivers (it is not America, this is how people drive in Turkey), and they had no problem distinguishing between Hilton airport, Hilton Taksim, and Hilton Parksa. I would definetely recommend it

"Turkish delight"
This hotel is a gem, lovely rooms, incredibly friendly staff and the best breafast! The only downside is the location but it's not unmanageable and we followed the other reviewers advice of bringing the name and address of the hotel with us. As in Cairo and Athens, the taxi drivers are very fond of switching notes and quoting outlandish prices. To let it ruin your holiday would be a mistake as there are so many fantastic sites, from the ancient (agia sofia) to the new (Reina night club)
