"Did the trick"
Since no one else has reviewed this hotel, and it made us reluctant to try it, I'll be the first! It does exist, and looks like it does in the picture. It seems brand new, and was clean and I think fairly spacious compared to what you usually get in Paris, especially for the price, it was fairly cheap. It was quiet and the staff helpful and polite. The only complaint I would have is that we had no control over the air. Couldn't figure out how to turn on the heat or air-conditioning, and we had no windows to open. We had a sliding glass door, but since we were on the ground floor couldn't leave it open while we slept as it opened onto a common patio. Consequently it was a bit stuffy, and at times I could smell cigarette smoke being pumped into our room, but not a big deal really. For the most part it was comfortable and we slept off our jet jag like babies. It's not where all the action is, but it's near the metro, 2-3 stops from the city center (Notre Dame and Latin Quarter), in kind of a quiet "normal" neighborhood.
