"Great central hotel"
I've stayed in this hotel for several days in September 2006. We were looking for a hotel that is located in the center of moscow in walking distance to the kreml and the red place. We have choosen this hotel for the following reasons:
- central location
- hotel is new built
- it's a 4 star hotel (well western standard!)
- the price is right for a hotel with this location compared to the mariott just around the corner.
The rooms were modern, clean and large compared to normal european city hotel rooms. The stuff was friendly and spoke well english. If you like a bath top.. ask for a room with it... some rooms just have a shower.
There is also a small Gym, a steam bath and a hot tub. Not exciting but usable and clean.
The kreml and the red place are just a several minutes walk away. The Twerskaja street is just up one block and there is a very nice Usbekistan restaurant around the corner.
The great thing about this hotel: It's a russian style hotel.. when you are in the Mariott it is the same all over the world... The hotel Petr the first has a traditional russian theme I liked.
