"Have to agree with jlo81"
I travelled to Madrid with 6 other friends for my birthday in March 2007 and I must say this is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. We had 2 rooms, one quad and one triple. Both rooms are very well decorated in a modern style and have a fantastic bathroom with superb showers. My room was right at the very top of the hotel and had superb views over the city.
There is free water and fruit juice available in reception which came in very handy. Only one of our party made it to breakfast and at 9 euros he said it was good value....large selections of food including bacon, eggs, sausage and pastries. Be careful though and make sure you are paying 9 euros and not the "other" rate of 15 euros.
I appreciate that some people on here have not had pleasant experiences at this hotel in the past, but i can only assume that all refurbishments and teething problems have now been sorted out, and I would definitely reccomend this hotel to any of my friends.

"Great Place to stay"
I travelled to Madrid with my girlfriend for 3 nights. We stayed at the Petit Palace Alcala Torre and enjoyed the relaxed comfortable atmosphere of this hotel. The rooms were modern, clean and were serviced well daily. The Shower was great (over head and side sprays) and the bed was very comfortable.
We took the Metro from the Airport and arrived at Seville station which left us right outside the door of the hotel. The hotel is in a safe central place, surrounded by places to eat and within walking distance to all the major sites. The people behind reception were very helpful in advising us on what to see and how to get around the city. This hotel is ideal for a couple not looking for anything more than a comfortable, modern clean room with friendly staff.
If I ever go back to Madrid for a short stay, I will be booking into this hotel.

"Wow! great hotel"
Stayed at this hotel for two nights after being moved from one of the nearby high tech properties (something about a water issue) in Madrid. The room was fantastic. A 20" LCD flat panel TV, plenty of space, fantastic bathroom, and clean! We had a family room as we had reserved for 3 people. Two of the beds were pushed together to form a quasi-king and the other two were bunks which folded up against the wall. even with them down the room was plenty big for the three of us. we also received complimentary beverages (not sure if this was due to our shifting hotels). the bathroom was great, i've never had such a fantastic shower in my life. overall a great experience and not overly expensive for the wonderful room.
