Petit Palace Purta del Sol – Madrid
No complaints about the hotel staff, they were very polite and spoke English. The lobby was nice and they had two computers with free internet provided. The rooms were small but nicely furnished. The weird part was the bathroom doors were all glass so there was no privacy when you were inside. The location was ideal; a two minute walk from the metro station and within walking distance of the museums, Plaza Santa Ana, and almost all the other sites I wanted to see. While the hotel was nice, you could tell it used to be old and rundown which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Out of the three hotels I stayed at in Spain (all “3-stars”), this was my least favorite. However, overall, I would recommend this hotel if you’re going to Madrid, because it seems that most hotels in this price range are about the same and at least with this one you know the staff is nice and it’s in a good location.

"Great Location,Very nice hotel"
Arrived 18th March for 2 nights after 23hrs travelling,we were pleasantly surprised with the room and bathroom.The kids had a room for three with a set of bunks and ensuit room with a King fantastic bathroom plus a laptop and free internet. Great location walking distance to all the major sights Breakfasts were very good lots of choices Highly Recommended

As mentioned the hotel was very central but you heard little street noise. I was very impressed with the rooms and lovely size bathroom - and yes great shower! I have stayed in much worse 4 star hotels!

Great hotel, close to the metro station, shops, restaurants, with a wonderful staff, and a great rate $$ and free internet. Will recomend it to my friends and will stay here on my next visit to Madrid.
