Petro Palace Hotel offers accommodation in comfortable rooms, perfect service and a number of facilities to satisfy all the needs of tourists. Opened in 2005, this city centre hotel is housed in a restored handsome 19th century building, typical of old St Petersburg.

LOCATION

Petro Palace Hotel is perfectly located in the heart of St. Petersburg, near such famous sights as St. Isaac Cathedral, the Palace Square, the Hermitage and the Admiralty. The Nevsky Prospect metro station as well as public transport stops are all located not far from the hotel.

"excellent choice"
Just come back from Russia spending 3 nights in St Petersburg. This is an excellent hotel. Cost us £216 for 3 nights. A bit more than we would normally pay but worth it as it has a great location within minutes walking of St Iasacs Cathedral, Nevsky Prospect and the Hermitage Winter Palace. Breakfast included was a buffet style but had everything you may wish…..fruit, porridge, eggs, toast, yoghurt etc The staff are really friendly. All spoke English and were very helpful at all times. Note!!! St Petersburg is very big..there is lots to see……but it is tiring walking everywhere. Try to use the bus or Metro…...but be very careful. Someone tried to get my wallet as we stepped on the Metro. They work in a group and gather around you while one with a coat over their arm picks your pocket. I realised what was going on and they ran away. DON’T do what we did and go to the summer Palace on a Monday..its closed (took us an hour to get there) DO visit the Yustinov Palace where Rasputin was killed. Absolutely fantastic. Hotel food & drinks exceptionally expensive (7 Euros for a coffee)There is a fantastic Abidejan restaurant a minutes walk from the hotal. English menu, cheap and lovely food. I would advise to eat here. Overall thoroughly recommend you to stay here

"Excellent choice"
I've been a TripAdvisor user for two years now and I always read biased reviews from people paying US$100 a night and expecting the Four Seasons, I try to make my reviews down to earth. The Petro Palace is a great hotel. The staff is terrific, helpful and young. Location is very centric, you can walk to all tourist locations and neighborhood is nice (near the iconic Astoria). My room was spotless, with all needed ammenities (tv, phone, bath supplies, towels, etc.). Breakfast was included and the buffet is pretty nice. Don't go here if you're expecting Ritz Carlton luxory nor Four Seasons pampering, if you're below that line: go ahead. A special note and thanks: we witnessed Julia's (the new concierge) first day and she was particularly helpful with a great attitude eventhough she was completely swamped with requests from other guests. She will become a Ritz-quality concierge in no time.

"Great value!"
The Petro Palace was very central, clean, with helpful staff and comfortable business-class rooms. Not luxurious, but certainly at a Starwood level (well, no 'Heavenly Bed' or of-the-moment decor, but otherwise good). And the breakfasts were great -- didn't need to eat again until dinner. Oh, although we resisted eating a hotel dinner, we were too tired one night, and ended up eating at the hotel restaurant, and we had the best Beef Stroganoff in the world -- to die for! Thank you to Stanj, TripAdvisor's local expert for St P, for this and his many other helpful recommendations! One last thing -- don't know if it's the custom, but I tipped the various hotel staff, as they take home so little pay, and we can certainly afford it.

"A Great Hotel"
I stayed 5 nights at the Petro Palace Hotel. I booked a king sized bedded room and ended up in the original part of the building overlooking the main street. The room was large, warm and overall very good. Slightly noisy from the street but not too disturbing. The breakfast buffet was excellent and varied. The rooms were serviced more than once a day to a high standard. The staff were attentive and their service excellent. The concierge even managed to get me tickets for a ballet performance at the Marinsky Theatre on the same Saturday evening. Well done! I have syated in a lot of so called 4 star hotels in London and the Petro Palace Hotel was far better then most of them.
