"has a great location"
Phoenix Copenhagen Hotel has a great location. Very close to the Queen's Palace, Nyhaven, Stroget, and a metro station. This is a decent hotel (if you get the larger room) in a great location. Kiara, Kuressaare

"location was within easy walking distance of the Nyhavn old port area restaurants "
Phoenix Copenhagen Hotel's location was within easy walking distance of the Nyhavn old port area restaurants and Stroget pedestrian shopping street, plus royal palace, art museum, and other good sights. A little too far to easily walk with luggage to the train station. Emilie, Taba

"perfect location"
Just spent 5 nights at this hotel. Room was only small but clean and had everything we needed. Got a good deal on the price but would have felt the full price they quote would have been too high. However the hotel was excellent, in a perfect location near the best bars and close to the shops and the royal palace. Breakfast was fantastic and set us up for the day. Staff were very friendly. We had a room at the back of the hotel and it was very quiet, the beds were huge so we had a perfect nights sleep. All in all we enjoyed this hotel and copenhagen is fantastic.

"Wonderful Hotel!"
After I booked this hotel for my family and some friends, I began reading reviews on this website and became extremely nervous. However, upon arrival and throughout our stay in Copenhagen, we were so pleased with our choice. We found the Hotel to be beautiful, clean and comfortable. The staff couldn't have been nicer. We were given a larger room to accommodate the cot we needed for our infant son. I looked into some of the other rooms as they were being cleaned. While the standard rooms are smaller, which is not uncommon in Europe anyway, they still are nice and I'm sure as comfortable. The breakfast buffet every morning was wonderful with many different items to choose from. And the location of the Hotel is ideal for sightseeing no matter which direction you are heading in. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again if I returned to Copenhagen!

"Phoenix Copenhagen as advertised"
My wife and I stayed three nights in the Phoenix in May and were well pleased with our room, service and location of the hotel. Our room was on the third floor overlooking Dronningens Street on the side of the hotel and was very quiet at night and in the morning. Because I had researched many hotels in Copenhagen and visited a travel forum, I was not surprised by the size of the standard room, which is smaller than most hotel rooms in the U.S.; however, the room was nicely decorated as shown in the web site photos and the bath was remodeled, modern and good size. Yes, the floor sloped slightly up to the window but the building was several hundred years old and can be refurbished only to a certain extent. Although an the elevator opened practically across from our room, we used the circular stairway for exercise and tried to imagine the original out of town guests using it when visiting the Palace. The refrigerator was fully stocked and I had to remove some items to store things we purchased from a corner grocery store one block behind the hotel. The buffet breakfast was included with our Internet room price of $146US. The full selection included Danish pastries and herring plus both hot menu and continental items. Remember the 25% VAT when estimating cost in Copenhagen. The hotel staff was knowledgeable and provided information on locations for both ATMs and racks for the free city bikes. The Phoenix location was excellent: halfway between The Little Mermaid (20 minute walk) and Tivoli Gardens. Two blocks one way was the Nyhavn Canal restaurant outdoor cafe area and two blocks in the other direction was the Amalienborg Palace for the daily changing of the Danish Lifeguards. The Stroget shopping street was equally convenient. The Phoenix was also located in the antique store area. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!
