"Great Beach Vacation"
We stayed at the Pink Shell for 5 days in April 2007. It was a very nice place to stay, clean hotel - we had a 1 bedroom suite with lots of room plus a washer/dryer. The beach was clean and white sand - the children loved the pool as well. Great location - easy walk to Times Square area but away from it all as well. The pool restaurant had good food and reasonably priced. I wouldn't hesitate to go back there again.

"What a Surprise"
WOW. We stayed at the Pink Shell for one night in late March. We were only looking for a stop-over place on our way to Fort Lauderdale from Tampa (but wanted to be on the beach). A two-bedroom suite at the Pink Shell was the ONLY reservation I could find since it was a last minute trip. When I booked the room for $368/per night, I was very afraid that we would be disappointed given the price. I was wrong. The room was wonderful with wrap around views of the gulf in the living/dining area, a full kitchen, screened balcony and two huge bedrooms. The master included a large bathroom w/ seperate garden tub and a shower with high windows so you could look out and see the gulf. The room seemed to be pratically brand new. Fresh carpet, furniture was in good condition and the kitchen appliances were clean and modern. Since we only stayed one night we didn't get to explore much of the hotel property, but we did head down to the beach and found some nice seashells right there. After the beach we stopped in the pool. The water was too warm in my opinion (didn't feel refreshing), and there were still LOTS of children (even at 6pm). There is a seperate kiddie pool, but it was empty and everyone was at the main pool. For dinner we had pizza delivered to the room from the downstairs bar/restaurant. The pizza wasn't very good at all -but it was reasonable and convenient. My biggest regret is only staying for the one night. I'll be going back for an extended stay. This is the type of property you could spend a week at and really relax.
