To visit the nearest city, San Pedro de Macorix (14 kilometers from Juan Dolio) you can use local transportation, gua-gua (bus), for. To arrive to the nearest bus stop you will take a moto-concho for a few pesos (a moto-taxi). For those who are a bit lazier there is a taxi or they can rent a car or a scooter.

Also other beaches (Guayacanes, Boca Chica etc) are accessible by local transportation.
