Posada De San Jose Hotel, which was built during the XVlll century, is situated in heart of the historic quarter of Cuenca. The building retains its past monastic characteristics for it was the San Jose Choir School which echoed to the voices of boys rehearsing masses to be sung in the nearby cathedral.

Antonio and Jennifer Cortinas re-opened the Posada in 1983, since when, with sensitivity, they are restoring and refurbishing it, complementing its past architectural character with contemporary standards of hotel comfort so that guests are offered friendly hospitality and local culture throughout their stay.

Visitors will be charmed by this unique Posada and appreciate the harmony of decoration and its superb situation overlooking the Huecar River Gorge.
