"Nicely remodeled, but beware of nightclub noise & parking issues"
This hotel was recently remodeled, so everything was nice & new. The room was extremely clean, somewhat small, but well appointed. We also loved the location right downtown & near the water. We arrived late for check-in, which was both a blessing & a curse. The curse was that the parking lot was already full...and we were pulling an open-trailer snow-mobile, so we’d hoped we could keep an eye on it. We ended up having to park in a public lot at a restaurant (affiliated with the hotel, but well behind it), that left us feeling a little unsettled. Fortunately, nothing bad happened! The blessing was that the nightclub that shares a wall with one side of the hotel was already in full swing, so we knew enough to request a room as far from the noise as possible. The hotel wasn’t full, so the night clerk was able to accommodate us, AND he upgraded our room to one with a jacuzzi tub and fireplace! We would stay there again, but if it were during high season, we’d want early confirmation of a quiet room.
