"This is a lovely hotel! "
Quartier Latin Hotel is a really lovely charming hotel, in an excellent area. Easy to walk into the centre of Paris or stay in the less frantic left bank. We had a great stay in a lovely, spacious room with a nice 7th floor view. This is a lovely hotel! |

"A Great Stay in Paris"
After staying in a tiny unventilated room on my previous trip to Paris, this place was like staying at "the ritz". It was clean, comfortable and the room was of good size (which is hard to find in Paris). The AC worked great and the bathroom was huge with a full size tub. The decor is bright and airy and the bathroom had the best toiletries of my whole trip.
The hotel itself is clean, simple and modern. The lobby is richly decorated with wood floors, a reading area, and a nice space to use the internet at "no charge." I found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful.
It is also located in a great area of town, and you can walk to everything. I highly recommend this hotel.

"the perfect birthday gift"
me and my boyfriend just HAD (doesn't matter how tacky can this sound) to go to Paris for my birthday. we're portuguese, so unfortunately our salaries aren't comparable to frech lifestyle.
anyway, we decided to go crazy and booked with our internet travel agent one of the cheaper (not cheap) packages available (flight, hotel and breakfast). we asked around to a friend who lives there and we had some guarantees about the place. but we could never guess...
we got there and the urban myth about french bad manners just evaporated with the first welcome smile. they sent us to the 6th floor and - oh God - it was the top floor. an amazing view and the sweetest room, perfectly clean, beautifully decorated, great bathroom, the sweetest staff, the bonus of having an electric pot to make tea at night, good continental breakfast... in a great location: very quiet at night but 5 minutes walking from the Seine, from Notre Dame, from the bars, from the subway... and it's so romantic to light up a cigarette in the tiny balcony and just stay there watching the stars over the Paris roof tops...
(sigh) We had the birthday gift of our lives.
we miss it badly.
if we get to go there again, we will HAVE to go to this specific hotel...

"Excellent hotel on a tight budget"
I stayed here for two nights (late Nov 06) and was suitably impressed by the hotel.
The rooms aren't the biggest but are well appointed and were spotless. Beds were very comfortable. The bathroom is a good size, with some nice free toiletries and a decent power shower.
Breakfast was OK with pastries, bread, meats/cheese, cereal and fruit juice. Although the dinnig room is rather cramped.
Reception were good and spoke excellent english. They even arranged for me to get my room early despite arriving at 10am. They simply asked if I could return back in an hour and the room would be ready (normal check in is 2pm). One negative was that the internet in the lobby was not working when I went to use it.
The hotel is in an excellent location. About 3-5mins walk from Notre Damme and St Michel train station (one of the stops from Orly/CDG link). There are also 2 more Metro stations nearby.
Overall the hotel was excellent value for money (esp. for a 3 star in Paris) and is in a great location for exploring Paris. There is also a wide range of eating/drinking places nearby!!
