Queens Park Hotel London occupies four 19th-century, white stucco-fronted, terraced houses on a street two blocks from Hyde Park. The majority of the clientele are families and couples on weekend breaks, while some are business travelers taking advantage of the central location and the hotel's business facilities. The gray and black marble-floored lobby is adjacent to the ground floor bar/lounge with sofas and pale wood tables.

Queens Park Hotel London is two blocks from Hyde Park, a 10-minute walk from Notting Hill and a 20-minute walk from Harrods, the Portobello Road Market, and Oxford Street.

It offers a relaxing retreat from meetings, exhibitions and business trips, and provides a convenient base for visits to Londons famous shops, theatres, museums and historic buildings - many of which are only minutes away by taxi.

The lower ground floor blue and white breakfast room is air-conditioned and can seat 70 for pre-booked functions. Breakfast is served 7-10 AM Monday to Friday and 8 AM - 11 AM Saturday and Sunday. A Continental buffet breakfast is available with English breakfasts and omelets cooked to order.

* The hotel has a concierge desk and a ground floor bar/lounge which stays open until 1:30 AM. The business center has two computer terminals offering high speed Internet access. There are two conference rooms (capacities of 15 and 10) and an air-conditioned breakfast room on the lower ground floor.

* The hotel offers conference and meeting facilities which are attractively decorated and include Pendax equipment, with appropriate audio-visual equipment for training and presentations available.

"enjoed the stay"
Recenty stayed in this hotel as part of a weekend break with my husband. The moment we checked in, wee were welcomed by friendly staff, courteuos concierge who took our luggage right up to the room and showed us the room. When entering the room we were satisfied with the condition, the room seemed recently refubished. The ameneties all there as advertised. The staff were extremely responsive and the housekeeping department were always good. We paid a fair price for what we had received and included breakfast which was very good. Consisted of a full continental breakfast which had a good variety. The hotel was in good condition, the staff were extremely friendly and the location was fantastic, really is in the centre of London with Hyde Park only accross the road and underground stations nearby. Buses also pass through this area. All in all, my husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The only downide was the the lifts were small, but they were in good working order.

"Excellent Value for money"
Had an excellent weekend in London and staying at the Queens Park Hotel, The room was a little small but clean with beds made and fresh towels every day. Breakfast was very good with unlimited Toast, Cereals, Croissants, Tea, Coffee and Fruit juices. Black Lion Pub on Bayswater Road highly recommended ! We were a party of four in two rooms and we all thought the Hotel was far better than expected. At these prices anyone who whinges needs a good kick in the [----]!!!!!!!!

Queens Park Hotel, London
This is worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in many across the world. The general decor was grubby and dirty in places. The lift was out of order leaving a 1 person only lift for a 4 floor hotel. The bedroom was extremely grubby with scraped walls, water damaged light shades, worn carpets, cigarette holed bedcover, worn blanket and worn through sheet. The bathroom fittings were covered in limescale with a shower tray also covered in limescale, plus a dirty plug hole. I was so appalled that I did not want to eat in the premises and had it not been for my late arrival I would have changed hotel immediately. The hotel seems to be opposite hostel accommodation and there was loud shouting and laughing going on into the early hours. While this is not the Hotel's fault it did not make for a restful sleep, also the fire alarm went off around midnight disturbing slelep without it being an offical fire alarm. I was then awakened at 4.45 a.m. with 3 bedroom and fire doors slamming next to me. It felt as I was in the servant's quarters. A thoroughly disgusting experience not to be repeated. I could not recommend this hotel to anyone and it will certainly not encourage tourists to stay in London.

"Deserves consideration for value/location"
This is a quiet hotel off the busy streets. The sound problem is not with the hotel, but with who you get for a neighbor. The walls are not an acoustical barrier. The bathroom is modern and spacious with an exceptional shower for a European hotel. The breakfast is above average with cooked eggs and sausage as well as cold items. What doesn’t appear in the description is the fact that the rooms have a small refrigerator for their honor mini-bar items which can be used to store your own stuff (we eat our main meal at mid-day and snack on baguette and cheese with wine in the room at night). The location can’t be beat; there are two Metro stations within three blocks and six bus lines within even less distance. There is a supermarket around the corner and a sanitary aware boulangerie two blocks away (They use tongs and avoid contact with the item and then the money, something rarely seen in French food dispensing establishments). We have stayed in Paris over a dozen times in the last ten years and this hotel is one of the best for value and location.

"Very good value option"
We booked our trip to Paris not being too concerned about the quality of the hotel, as it was only going to be a base for us and we didn't want to pay over the odds. Considering what we paid, we were pleasantly surprised by the standard of this hotel! The location is excellent, close to two Metro stations and is situated down a fairly quiet street. Staff were courteous and helpful and spoke English Our double room was a reasonable size - clean and comfortable and with a decent bathroom. Continental breakfast was plentiful, a good selection of meats, cheeses and pastries. It was served until 10:30 in the restaurant or you could have it brought up to your room, at no extra charge, until 11:00. For a budget hotel, this was probably as good as we could have hoped for in Paris.

"Very friendly and helpful staff."
The friendly front desk staff puts this hotel in the five star category. In addition, the room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was more that just continental. It is on a small street that makes it difficult to find, but once there the lack of traffic means a quiet night's sleep.

"Great stay at the Queens Park Hotel"
Had a very pleasant surprise when arriving at the Queens Park Hotel. Having booked, what I thought was, a budget hotel and having spent the past ten years in different but always dingy hostels the Queens park appeared to be the Hilton. Room was fine, apart from the horriple purple painted walls .-). Nice and clean. Bathroom in top condition. Good beds. Excellent full English breakfast.

"Fanatastic value in London"
Perhaps we got a very good deal (on activehotels) at 45 pounds a night for a single B&B, but it would even be worth more. This is definitely the best budget hotel I have stayed in in London. The rooms we had (3 singles) were all refurbished, clean and comfortable with little extras you do not expect at this price - trouser press, hairdryer, shampos and shower-caps. Very friendly staff and a large reception quite different from the ones normally found at budget hotels. Breakfast was a bit slow and too many people for the little restaurant - otherwise everything was just fine
