The Rachamankha Chiang Mai opened in May 2004 as the newest luxury resort right in the heart of Chiang Mai's old city. It combines a quiet location with easy access to the most famous temples and tourist attractions. It was created by two of Thailand's most famous architects and the traditional Lanna structure houses antiques and artifacts from China and Southeast Asia.
The Restaurant., traditional Thai cuisine is served. They offer a unique menu combining 4 local cuisines; Myanmar, Tai-Yai, Lanna and Thai. There is also an international menu and a set menu for one an inexpensive way to try a selection of Asian dishes from the menu, and giving the diner an authentic Asian gastronomic experience.
* Bar:
The Bar is situated next to the restaurant and is decorated with a 19th Century Korean Lacquer screen, and lithographs by Henry Moore, Robert Motherwell, and other early twentieth century painters.
* The table lamps are made from Chinese porcelain, and a Lanna lantern with a tassel that matches the color of the antique wardrobe hangs down in the centre of the room. Even the sink counter in the bathroom is a Chinese antique. The walls are 19th Century Tai-Yai art, from the Shan State of Myanmar. The Deluxe rooms differ from the Superior rooms in that they are larger (42 m2 compared to 30 m2 ), have a four-pester bed, and look down onto the main courtyard.

The door is an old Lanna style door with an ornate door handle and wooden bolts.
