Such Luxury!
I was very impressed at the scenery and comfort. Only wish I could have spent a week there. Very relaxing. Staff couldn't do enough.

"a little slice heaven in ireland"
If you are ever wondering where to stay in Dublin and you want to see service at its best, then this is the place. Absolutely the best service I've ever seen, almost anywhere. It is a bit outside the center city, but well worth the drive. From the door man that greets you and gives you help with your luggage, to the restaurant servers, always friendly and kind in a business that has plently of reason not to be (more and more demanding customers and lots of competition), we were only greeted by the proud staff of a truely proffessional establishment. The setting of this hotel is more beautiful than the photos, a rare thing in this virtual world. The bed was like jumping into a cream pie, white, soft and condusive to a very deep sleep. Something welcoming while away from ones normal routine. When we came back into Dublin, after a visit to the west of the country, we had unfortunately assumed there would be room for us at this hotel, but it was full. With the help, again of this exceptional staff, we were able to find another hotel for the night. And this other hotel was so much less, that we were able to see again how special St. Helen's really is.

"Great good value"
I only stayed one night at the Radisson as I was flying earlier the next morning and wanted to stay very near the airport. I booked through Hotel pronto and paid 57 pounds for one night B&B. Very friendly staff, great room on the 1st floor, modern, tea and coffee facilites, hairdryer, trouser press, dining table, desk, internet access, large comfy double bed, clean white bathroom suite, plenty of storage, satelite t.v, etc... Breakfast was high quality; cooked, continental, fresh fruit, breads, yogurts, everything you could want and more. I chose this hotel inparticular to take advantage of using the swimming pool at the adjacent hotel. I could not make use of this however as the pool is not open in the evening. Overall a gd value nice quality hotel.

"Fantastic looking hotel"
Stayed there for one night on business. First impressions on arrival are fantastic. It is a beatiful looking hotel set in fantastic grounds. You are welcomed at the front door in style. The check in procedure wasn't great as they struggled to find a room that was ready. There was no explanation for the delay until afterwards which was a little disappointing. My room was clean and very well appointed. Another minor disappointment was when we arrived back at the hotel after a night out in the city (it wasn't *that* late) the bar was shut and the night porter needed quite some persuading to serve us. Breakfast was fantastic with superb sausages and real butter for the toast!! Before departure sat outside on the rear terrace enjoying the view of the grounds.

"Great Hotel"
Before we picked this hotel for our stay in Dublin we had checked this website for reviews. We found it hard to believe that such a lovely looking hotel with 5 stars could receive such negative views. We approached with caution on the basis that it was somewhere to lay our heads whilst exploring the local area. We have been pleasantly surprised! Absolutely NO member of staff was ever rude to us- I wonder if people are mistaking the tone of the locals as being unhelpful? In actual fact the staff went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable and confortable as possible.Room and surroundings were A1. One evening all of the local taxis were fully booked and we had no way of making our way into the city centre. The duty manager kindly took us into the city herself without question- how about that for service!! Dublin is flooded with contemporary looking hotels- if you are looking for a lovely setting within easy reach of the city and scenery, a hotel with character and good service away from the hustle and bustle of the pubs and clubs, then this is the hotel for you. For those who didn't like the paper slippers. . . .get a grip! It is time that this hotel received the review it rightly deserves!

"simply wonderful"
I stay here about six times a year for business: it is great. The staff, especially reception and concierge, are super helpful and friendly. Having stayed for years in Dublin hotels which are in the city centre itself I value the setting, the grounds and the quietness. There is excellent parking. The Orangerie Bar is good for a snack and the Italian restaurant in the basement is superb. For me it is home from home with rooms big enough for working in between meetings.

"A Wonderful Hotel"
My Husband and I found this to be a beautiful hotel which stands in fabulous surroundings! The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough to ensure that we were made to feel welcome. There is a bus stop right outside linking you to the city centre and airport, which is very convenient. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. If I get the opportunity to return to Dublin, then I will be staying in the St Helens Hotel!

"Beyond expectations"
My wife and I decided to treat ourselves to an overnight break in St.Helen's after a hectic Christmas week. We had stayed here before in 2000 and were looking forward to a relaxing interlude. Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our brief sojourne and were sorry it had to end! From the moment we arrived in the car park until we left the following morning we felt as if we were the most important people there and nothing was too much trouble. All staff we encountered were pleasent and efficient esp. the restaurant waiters and manager. The food in the italian restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced and the breakfast was of a very high standard with plenty of choices. The bedroom was huge and very well appointed with lots of little touches such as chocolates on the pillow, wide choice of soaps and shampoos, iron & ironing board, bathrobes, bottled water etc.,etc. The hotel is on the southside of the city, so a taxi is required to visit the city centre, but dont let that put you off as I have stayed in most of the so-called 5 star hotels in Dublin city centre, and have been disappointed with the cavalier attitude of the staff to their customers and the high prices charged for mediocre facilities. These hotels could learn a lot from the Radisson who set the standard other hotels should aspire to.

"Loved the Hotel"
Stayed the weekend arriving 17, March 2005 and returned 26th March 2005. Staff, rates and deals were teriffic. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. All 4 & 5 star hotels were running specials all with breakfast for rate of one person and under 150 euro. Radisson staff and rooms were excellent, friendly and very accomodating for every need. Hotel itself is a manor house converted to a hotel with beautiful rooms and gardens. All amenities and spa were available and spa was reasonably priced.

"Simply lovely!"
My husband and I just spent a long weekend at this lovely hotel. The room was gorgeous - very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The room was also well serviced by very friendly staff. Yes, there are a lot of Eastern Europeans working there, but they were really lovely. Ireland struggles to find enough people for jobs so it is understandable that they have to get staff from outside the country. The restaurant was excellent, as was room service. Again, the staff could not have been more helpful - and it was nice to see just how many staff were on duty. We found the bus (46A) very convenient - 15 minutes to the centre of Dublin and only cost Euro 1.5 each. The Aircoach to the Airport (Euro 7.00 each) was also fantastic so don't be put off by the hotel's location outside the centre. The concierge was extremely helpful and we booked a day's coach tour of Wicklow through him which was excellent. We will be back!!!
