"A Fair Deal"
Having read mixed reviews, relating principally to lack of air conditioning, we were anxious regarding the hotel. As it happened, London was fairly cool during our visit; air conditioning would have been a waste. We enjoyed the hotel and were treated kindly by the staff. The hotel is well appointed and well run. The room was fairly large for a well-located urban hotel, and certainly comfortable. We ate breakfast at the hotel, including a business meeting. Again, we were well treated, the food was ample, and the surroundings agreeable. We reserved via Priceline - meaning that we did not know in advance where we'd be staying. All in all, we were pleased with the Ewardian Marlborough and would be inclined to stay again. |

"Good location, decent hotel"
I stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend this past weekend and booked a 'deluxe' room at the price of £99 a night.
We have stayed at Radisson resorts before and this was pleasant. The room provided us with exactly what we wanted, somewhere clean, accesible, comfortable and friendly.
The bed was HUGE and quite comfortable. The room was ok, wallpaper is shocking though! Bathroom was clean and decent size. Shower was nice and powerful to wash away the smell of cigarettes from the night before!
The best thing about this hotel is the location, only 5 min walk from Tottenham Court Rd station and 10 mins on a rickshaw from leicester square!
The staff all seemed friendly enough and were happy to help us where needed.
Breakfast seems a bit expensive at £16.50 per head. We headed over the road to a little cafe and got a decent breakfast for a lot less than that!!
If you are looking for somewhere to lay your head or use as a base then this hotel is ok. If you are looking for luxury and great views then this may not be the best of hotels.
We paid a reasonable price but would not have paid much more for the experience.

"Great location with a good price for a comfortable stay"
I booked the hotel through lastminute's "Top Secret Hotels" scheme and managed to get a double room for just £75, which was worth every penny - for that price you get a clean, comfortable room in central London.
The location is the hotels major selling point - it's a few minutes walk from Tottenham Court Road tube station, shopping on Oxford Street and restaurants etc at Covent Garden and beyond.
The hotel is on the old fashioned side and if you're looking for a modern designer or boutique hotel then look elsewhere. Reception is fairly grand with a large open space, wood panelling etc and polite friendly staff. The room is on the small side, but comes over as cosy
rather than crampt. The bathrooms are fine, nothing to write home about but they serve their function and are clean.
So if you can get a good price and are looking for something clean and comfortable in a great location then give it a go. If you're looking for something special then look elsewhere - but be prepared to splash out a few more quid.
