"Very nice hotel"
Went with the girlfriend for a long weekend away, I've stayed in Reykjavik before but not in the "101" district. Hotel is very central, good location to downtown Reykjavik. Service was good, room was very nice and clean, we had an upgraded double looking out onto the harbour/hot dog stall (which is also recommended). Rooms were very clean, service very good, the SALT restaurant underneath is fantastic and I recommend the lamb. I'd definitely stay there again. Getting to the airport can be tight if you have an early flight so leave early - as early as possible, the coach to Keflavik goes around the local hotels picking people up. They do a "grab and run" breakfast/coffee service which is useful when you leave at 5am.

"Loved the Radisson!"
I don't really have new information about the Radisson. The front desk was great....they upgraded us to a junior suite and told us where to get "fast food" (we got pizza down the street---it was thirty dollars for a somewhat little pizza and some Pepsi). We loved the location and the room. I don't care for the weird guys frozen into the wall in the lobby.....reminds me of Harrison Ford in Star Wars when he was frozen. Free internet in business center was great. There are free bottles of water in the fitness center. I would happily come back here again and again!

"Good Hotel but bring your PJ's"
Stayed at the SAS for my 40th Birthday. Manager provided a free bottle of wine, which was very nice since you could buy a small family home for the price of a bottle of wine in Iceland. Staff in the hotel were all very polite and spoke good English. There was no bath in our room, which was a bit of a disappointment and the heating could have been turned up a bit, but these are only minor grumbles. The bed was very comfortable and a good reception pack is provided. A good selection is available for Breakfast. Rooms are spotless and modern. The hotel is quite stylish with unusual human sculptures clinging to the walls. It is right in the centre of Reykjavik and very close to Cafe Paris. Would definately go again!!

"Fabulous hotel"
I stayed at the hotel in mid-july and found the hotel, the staff, and ambiance to be just great! The hotel is well located - just steps from the main shopping and restaurant district. Also close to a little food market in case you need a piece of fruit or a bottle of water. I also stayed in room 419 [as a previous review wrote] - one of the smaller rooms of the hotel, but did not mind as the I spent most of my days outside. It's perfect for one person and not a whole lot of street noise. Also - no need to worry about an alarm clock - there is one via the TV - totally cool. I definitely plan a return visit to Reykjavik as well as Radisson SAS 1919.
