"Outstanding" Outstanding! Beautiful spacious rooms with panoramic views. Best of all is the restaurant. A hidden gem of Birmingham cuisine. Quality ingredients, well prepared and presented. Lovely restaurant staff. I have stayed several times in Malmaison and Hotel du Vin. Radisson just about edges it for me and is cheaper if you find the right deal on the internet. The only tiny fault is that parking is round the corner in a dodgy looking NCP car park. At the Malmaison, it is very convenient to be able to park under the hotel.

"Top Class Modern Hotel!" I stayed at the Radisson in Birmingham with a friend, we stayed in one of the suites. The suites have lovely entrances with a large cupboards and an exclusive bathroom (for the living room I assume) and the living room and bedroom are completely seperate. The living room was beautiful with fantastic views over the city, fantastic mini-bar facilities and even a coffee machine! Very modern with a classy LCD TV screen. The bedroom was very spacious with a LCD TV screen also, and large pillars near the massive windows all adding to the classy feel of the suites. Bathroom is excellent apart from being a little heated after having a shower/bath. The restaurant was very good with the staff very polite and the food was quality, and fast service. All in all a great top class modern hotel, I have stayed in many other 4 star hotels in Birmingham such as the Malmaison and the Hyatt and I would put this up there with the best. Recommended, would also recommend booking one of the suites which are excellent value for money.

"Couldn't really fault it" I took my fiance here for a surprise weekend in Birmingham and was worried it wouldn't live up to the Mal but thankfully I was wrong. Yes the car park is a bit dodgy but as long as you hold your nose till you get out of there then it's a pretty typical multi storey. We arrived at 1230 and our room was ready. We were offered a choice of 3 room types by the really friendly receptionist. He asked us if we wanted to have dinner but when we told him we had already booked elsewhere he told us our restaurant choice (Bank @ Brindley Place) was excellent. We had a chic room on floor 15 which was lovely, although the view was out of the city so not much to see really. The bed was huge, if a bit soft and the pillows were about 3 foot high! The bathroom was lovely and I liked the way they set out the toiletries. We had an ice bucket sent up with no grumbles and it came within 5 minutes, even though there was one in the room already (much too small for champagne!). The reception and bar staff were keen to help us out with places to go for a drink (Mailbox, Summer Row or Arcadian Centre were great) Breakfast in the morning was gorgeous. Even though we got there at 1030 everything was fresh and there was so much choice. The watiting staff were charming and really efficient which so often lets breakfast down in big hotels. This was my bug bear with the Mal so the Radisson won me over even more thanks to this. I really can't recommend this hotel enough. How nice to be in a gorgeous hotel at the weekend without it being full of shrieking hen and raucous stag nights. I don't see this hotel being their kind of place. I'll definitely go again.
