"a really good experience "
Radisson Sas Edinburgh Hotel was quite stylish inside, with a minimalist feel to it. Check in was quick and the staff were friendly - we got access to our room straight away even though we arrived early. The room itself was clean, comfortable and quite spacious. Overall a really good experience at the Radisson and would stay there again if in Edinburgh.

"modern and spacious"
Radisson Sas Edinburgh Hotel's rooms are very modern and spacious.the staff are very friendly
and helpfull.
The pool didn't open until 8am. As my husband and I are early risers, it would have suited us better if we were able to go for a swim at 7.00am.

"Absolutely sensational!! You must stay here when in Edinburgh!"
We stayed at the Radisson SAS Edinburgh twice during our recent UK holiday. Once from 29.12.06-1.1.07 and when dissapointed with another hotel, returned knowing we would receive excellent service/accommodation from 6-8.1.07....
Where can I start??!! We were provided an upgrade to a business class room (from a standard) for the hogmanay period and were located in an absolutely massive room right on the royal mile. The room was double glazed for noise and you didnt hear a thing, but it was great to open the windows just to be able to hear the buzz from down the street at times (which is tremendous during hogmanay). Staff were incredibly friendly and provided loads of advice on where to eat, visit etc..
The hotel is absolutely central to everything and you can walk to anywhere in Edinburgh (which was so good for Hogmanay!!) There is even parking in the hotel for 7.50 pounds per 24 hours which is handy. The only downside I can mention is on 2 of the 3 days a house-keeping cart was left outside our door until about 4 or 5pm (but this is a minor inconvenience and we were given what we consider one of the premier rooms in the hotel - so we ignored it).
On the second stay, I asked the reception staff if they could again upgrade us to a business class room (from a standard), given it was our anniversary and we had been let down by another hotel etc. and they were more than happy to oblige. They provided a substantial discount over their best available rate and were very welcoming which was sensational after being so let down at the accommodation we had booked!! We were pointed in the direction of a local mussel/steak restaurant (hidden away at grassmarket) which you simply must ask for directions to! - reasonable prices and fabulous food! We had the most amazing view of arthurs seat from our room during this stay and again a marvelous large 'suite-like' room with a great full -size bathroom with tub.
This hotel is central, provides great large scale rooms (even the standard rooms are big by UK std's as we had stayed once in a previous year), friendly service and will do what they can to accommodate you. The views are absolutely second to none.
I cannot recommend the Radisson SAS highly enough and will only ever stay here when returning to the beautiful city of Edinburgh.

"Terrific Hotel"
We loved this hotel. We spent three nights here in Sept 2006 and were placed in a business class room. At an average cost of 108 GBP per night, it wasn’t cheap, but we thought we received good value. The room was outstanding, with a very comfortable king size bed, robes, slippers, and a good sized bathroom with thick, soft towels. It had good air conditioning and also included a small refrigerator, coffee maker, and teapot. The hotel’s location at the midpoint of the Royal Mile is ideal for sightseeing, with Edinburgh Castle at one end and the Palace of Holyrood House at the other. Despite its exterior resembling a medieval castle, the Radisson SAS is a modern, business-oriented hotel, and there were several conferences taking place there during our stay. The hotel has a bar and restaurant, but there are good pubs and restaurants all around it. It also has an excellent fitness facility in the basement. There’s a supermarket called Lidl about a ¼ mile from the hotel on South Bridge for buying wine and food items.
One of the best restaurants we dined at on our 12 city trip through Europe is right across the street (Dubh Prais), and we also had very good dinners at restaurants on George IV Bridge a few blocks from the hotel. Edinburgh rocks, with plenty to see and do during the day and action at night. We will definitely include it and the Radisson SAS on future trips to Europe.

"Highly recommended"
Stayed her in June, 2005, for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The location just could not be bettered as it sits at the busy end of the Royal Mile. You step out of the hotel into one of the most interesting and lively roads you are ever likely to visit.
The room we had was great. The hotel is at the heart of Edinburgh in the midst of lively, city noise. Our room was equipped with interior double glazing and when it was closed you could not hear a sound from the street.
The room was spacious and spotlessly clean.
The staff at the Radisson could not have been more helpful or friendly.
The breakfast was excellent and dining room staff were welcoming and efficient.
We are going to Berlin in September and staying at the Radisson there. If it is half as good as Edinburgh, it will be good enough for me.

"Brilliant Location"
A great place to stay- located on the royal mile which is much prettier than Pricnes Street and within walking distance to almost everything. Although the trendy bars such as the Opal Lounge is on the St Georges street behind Princes Street which is much nicer than the grassmarket and cowgate area for bars!! Enjoy!

"What a fabulous location!!!"
13 of us stayed here for a hen weekend and it was a great experience!
The staff were helpful and friendly from the moment we checked in and the location right on the Royal Mile could not be beaten. The rooms were fantastic - we had family rooms that slept 4, but no camp beds - proper bona fide very, very comfortable single beds and one double and lots of space for 4 girlies getting ready for a night on the tiles!
I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for groups. I don't know if it would have the intimacy I prefer when travelling as a couple but for the hen weekend, it couldn't have been better.
