I give 8 points out of 10. The hotel was very quiet, but a bit worn. Rooms were quite small for travellers with small children, but otherwise nice.

"Great value!" I've used the trip advisor reviews to decide on many hotels and I figured it's time to give something back to fellow travellers. I stayed here at the end of August 2004 for 3 nights after booking it off of expedia at a special rate of about 65 euros/night. Our room was a little small and it could use some renovations, but overall it was quite comfortable and the view was fantastic! When researching the hotel, I noted that a number of people complained about the location - but I found it quite reasonable. There is a tram stop right outside the hotel, and the public transportation is the nicest I've seen in any city in which I've travelled. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the central square (Bellecour). Lyon was a very interesting city - with a plethora of fantastic restaurants -many close to the hotel. Like many European cities it closes down for much of the summer, but most things were open in the last week of August. I would not hesitate to stay here, if you can book it at a low rate.
