"Very nice contemporary hotel"
I stayed in the hotel last year in March and found it to be a very friendly place with quality rooms and a beautiful dining area. I didn't have dinner there, but i can certainly recommend the breakfast!
The location is very good for those looking to be near the airport for an onward trip, but also not wanting to be too far from the city centre.
I had my equipment with me and the staff allowed me to do a virtual tour. For those of you thinking about staying there, have a proper look around!

"Very pleasant and convenient"
The staff was friendly. The room was very nice and the bathroom was excellent. AS the property had not transitioned to summer there was only outside air for conditioning. It did cool down at night. The morning buffet was excellent with great selection and attentive service. They are right on the Metro so it was easy to navigate Madrid from there for $3.50 per day. There is a great Colombian Hole in the wall restaurant behind the hotel.

"Our time at the Rafaelhoteles Ventas..."
I spent four days and three nights at this hotel with my boyfriend when we came travelling in Madrid in June 2006. We loved it!! It is very well kept and modernised. All members of staff are lovely and did their best to use English when speaking o us as our Spanish holds a lot to be desired! The hotel is situated across the road from the 'tube' and it can take you almost anywhere in Madrid. The bars, pubs and restaurant are easy to find and accommodate all dietary requirements and needs. Madrid is a BEAUTIFUL city... the views just take your breath away. In the four days we spent at the hotel, we visited 22 different parts of Madrid, solely by travelling on the metro. We had a fantastic holiday and I recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Madrid.

"Wonderful rooms, conveniently located"
My wife and I stayed at the Rafael Hoteles Ventas for seven nights during mid-March, 2005. We had a wonderful stay and were especially impressed with the spacious rooms, large closets, and the great bathroom.
Although the hotel's internet access is highly priced, there is an internet cafe next door that charges around 1.20 Euro per hour.
The hotel is located on metro line 5, next to the El Carmen station, which provides easy access to the city. We found a grocery store one block from the hotel which we used to buy our breakfast and drinks (we used the mini-bar in our room to cool the drinks).
We also found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful. We would definitely return to this hotel.

"beautiful"
My mother and I stayed at this hotel for three nights recently and I cannot rave enough about it! The room was gorgeous - much bigger than other rooms I have stayed in around Europe, the bathroom was beautiful, well equipped - even a bidet! and as for the staff - they were brilliant - they did everything for us, the receptionist gave us a map and marked out places of interest and told us exactly how to get to where and how. The only downfall was the evening meal in the restaurant - it was quite expensive and was not very good in my view but the breakfast was lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Madrid!!
