Conveniently located in the heart of Singapore's business, historical, cultural, and shopping districts, the hotel is also only some 20 minutes from Singapore Changi International Airport. The building is situated above one of the most important stops (City Hall Station) on the underground network and is part of the Raffles City complex. Guests will reach a number of attractions within 5-10 minutes, including CHIJMES hall, the Esplanade Theatres on the bay, Merlion Walk, the national art museum, the Suntec City Convention Centre, and the Singapore Exhibition Hall.

The twin-tower city hotel has a total of 26 floors, was constructed in 1985, and renovated in 2006. It is a contemporary, trend-setting luxury establishment, proudly presenting quality furnishing and comprehensive facilities and amenities, all with the inimitable Raffles service. On offer are 769 rooms in an Asian-inspired style, of which 22 are suites. Facilities on offer include a lobby area with a reception desk manned around the clock, air conditioning, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, lift access, a selection of shops, and a hairdresser. Culinary options include a Japanese and traditional Szechuan restaurant, an Italian-American pizzeria, and a cafe specialising in regional dishes. There is also a jazz lounge, a bar, a restaurant by the pool, and a hip nightclub. Guests may further take advantage of the laundry and 24-hour room services, the medical assistance, and the parking for those arriving by car. An on-site business centre provides office services and a high-speed Internet connection (charges apply), while the Raffles City Congress Centre next door feature 7,432 m2 of meeting and event space, including a ballroom that can accommodate up to 3,200 guests.
