Located in a nice and quiet area, the best for a getaway. Me and my best friend stayed at Ramada Encore for a few days. Our stay was excellent. I was very happy to see smiling faces of the hotel staff! they were very helpful. We came a bit early but reception staff let us check in. Hotel is modernly furnished and rooms are cleaned everyday. I really liked my bed and soft pillows. Never wanted to leave them :-) hotel is out of the city but close to the underground station. We had no difficulty on access. It is a great hotel to stay in London, we are thinking about going back next summer ! |

Excellent Experience
All I can say about this hotel is that is EXCELLENT, We arrived at the hotel like at 9 am from Belfast and we were really tired but the staff from the hotel were very nice and let us checked early at no charge at all. We stayed for 3 days and it was nice, the tube station is like walking distance very close, leaving in Florida we don't walk anywhere and I thought it was close. Right in the corner of the tube station there is a Centra store where you can buy beer or wine at low price to keep in your room, in the morning they have fresh bake goods for breakfast for 59p a piece less than a pound. Hotel is located in North Acton tube station when you get out is a big RED building at the end of the street. Thank you very much to all the people from Ramada Encore we had a nice stay |

"Great, overall experience"
Lovely hotel in a quiet location. It's a great place to unwind after a hectic day in the city. The train ride into the city is not that long. North Acton station is only a few stops from Notting Hill. The hotel is kept very clean and the staff is fantastic. The breakfast is wonderful. I suggest loading up on the breakfast, especially if it comes with your stay. This way, you can skip lunch (save money) and splurge on a nice dinner in London.

"Excellent!"
To make long story short: I chose this hotel based on the reviews on this website. The hotel proved to be excellent, the staff amazing, location very good (5min to the tube). Overall: great choice! Only minus: in-room dining (limited choice, strange service hours).

"Wonderful Hotel!!!"
This hotel is tremendous! We arrived in London after a 2 hour delay at our departure point in Colorado Springs due to the Blizzard in Denver. We were very tired and were hoping to check into the hotel even though it was 10:00 a.m. The receptionist was a kind and friendly face and gave us our wishes to check in 4 hours early than check-in time. The buffet was a quaint English breakfast with bread, croissants, toast, cereal, lunch meat, stewed tomatoes, bacon, baked beans, juice, coffee & cappucino machine, tea, fruit and some other items this American girl is not quite sure what they were (fried bread?). The staff was extremely helpful in all of our requests. My husband had a toothache and the staff assisted us greatly in finding a dentist and pharmacy (chemist) nearby. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the North Acton underground station on the Central line. We will definitely stay there again!!!

Ramada - Not an Encore
Very modern hotel with Japanese style restaurant and separate bar area.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Rooms are clean and modern with wood floors, large TV which has movies and internet access either via a keyboard or with the ability to plug in your laptop. they have very cool looking bathrooms which are glass, stainless steel and slate tiles.
But....
Room was cold on entry and seemed to take for ever to warm up. Then when I went to bed it was too hot and took for ever to cool down. A ha, I'll open the window. This only opened an inch or so and didn't let any fresh air in as there was a 2nd window which could not be reached.
i chose a smoking room which meant there wasn't any natural way of venting the room so it smelt worse than one would normally expect! Also the very cool looking bathroom was very cool as there was no heating in it whatsoever and made you feel you were walking into a fridge.
There seemed to be an extraction fan above the sink but never heard it working and after the morning shower obviously wasn't as it was all misted up.
Food didn't fair any better. Ordered of the main menu the Teriyaki Chicken which was bland, bland, bland and tasted nothing like I have had before. Nice idea for the menu but please make it tasty.
To summarise this is a modern hotel with potential to be good. The room heating and ventilation needs to be sorted out as does the flavour in the food.
For reference it is like an up market Holiday Inn Express with the addition of a built in restaurant. It even has the same soap dispensers.
