"Absoutly wonderful"
Just returned from a weekend stay at the Royal Station after a wonderful time. HELLO everyone.. this is a THREE star hotel, it never claims (as far as I can see) to be 5 star although when you walk into the foyer you might think it is. Contary to others I found my inatial contact, through the reception desk to be polite and helpful, ok I couldnt have the room till 2pm.. but er. isnt that what's stated? and we were able to leave our bags while we went off on a highhly recommended bus tour of the fine city. At the appointed hour our room was ready and although a bit on the small side it was clean, tidy and perfectly acceptable. It was the weekend and having read some reviews I was worried about noise, well maybe we were just lucky, but our nights were NOT interrupted by noisy revellers OR trains... er yes there ARE trains nearby.. jezzzz didnt the other reviewers notice the hotels NAME and LOCATION. In fact the location was perfect for us coming from the airport and wanting to be central to the shops and nightlife. The hotel itself boasts a VERY loud n lively bar but also a quieter more sedate autmosphere in its other bar and the Union Rooms across the road were another great place to frequent. Another big plus was the fitness suite and pool with hot spa, a beautiful way to relax and unwind right in the heart of Newcastle city centre. Thankyou to all at the hotel who made our stay so enjoyable, and no I dont work there or have any connections with anyone who does, Im just a very satisified customer
