Quality hotel in a great location, but only book if you can get a reasonable rate
Stayed in the hotel on a number of occasions and have recommended it to my friends and clients. Ideal for the city centre and transport links, especially Piccadilly rail station (withing an easily walking distance). However, don't expect too much from this hotel, it's a 3-star plus, but still not a 4-star one. Also note that the rate tends to go unreasonably higher during busy periods, so whenever it goes above 85 pounds for a standard room - look elsewhere (like Macdonalds near Piccadilly station). The rooms are nice but might seem smallish to someone who likes more space (however quite typical for the British standards). Nice bathrooms and shower. A comfortable and good night's sleep. Negatives to note: - Lack of reception staff, may take a while to check in or sort out a question. - Crazy internet prices Still one of my favourites when looking for a quality 3-star accomodation in Manchester.

"Whats All The Fuss about ??"
Having read the other reviews I was worried before staying.... however the Hotel obviously would be better with some money spent on it but.... It was clean and really quite good. The hotel is right in the city centre so obviously as you venture outside onto the streets it can be interesting but thats any city centre and you cant hold the hotel responsible for what happens outside ! From the time of arrival the concierge was polite and parked my car for me - note Car Park and valet parking at this price in a city centre wow !!! the Receptionist was friendly and check in was smooth the lifts are a bit fast but if you don't like it take the stairs ! the room itself was clean and fine for an over night Breakfast was really enjoyable nice quality hot food with a good choice, efficient polite service and really great coffee. It strikes me that reading the other reviews you people think your going to get luxury well for the price I paid for a 3 star city centre hotel with car parking £75 this was just fine If other reviewers expect 5 star then pay for it !!!!
