"Great people!"
Front desk staff was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable although not the latest in decor. The bar area is located with great views of the river, with good service and reasonable prices. This is a large place that sprawls along the river offering views of the I-5 bridge, interesting boats going by, plus glowing sunsets over the Columbia River. There's a comfortable feel to the place, even with the older decor. You can take a short walk along the river to Joe's Crab Shack and a good Mexican restaurant where they offer outside dining. Give it a try

"Very nice motel"
This was the Red Lion in Vancouver, Wa. near I-205/134th st. We had a very clean comfortable room. Quiet surroundings allowing for a good night's sleep. In the morning we awoke to an excellent continental breakfast...... Would definitely stay there again

"Very nice stay"
We stayed only one night in August 2006, and I wish we had stayed longer! The room was very comfortable and recently updated with nice furniture, granite countertops, double sinks, large closet, and pillow top mattresses with lots of fluffy pillows! There is a fridge, coffeemaker and microwave. Request a river side and you will have a back door and window that opens up to the patio area and great views of the river and bridge in to Portland. I found the hotel to be quiet and restful; I slept like a baby on that bed! The staff was incredibly nice, and helpful in pointing out nearby activities. There is a restaurant/bar onsite, but we did not go there. For cheap and actually very good sushi and chinese, try the Safeway over at Jantzen Beach (yes, I was surprised by Safeway too...much different than any I've been to before). I would say the only drawback of the hotel is that because it is older, the pool is outdoors. We were not able to use it because it was too cold. Other than that, we were very happy and would definitely return.
