"I love teh Red Wall Hotel" was at this wonderful hotel in July of 05 . I staied there for 2 weeks . I found this hotel to be very Clean and bright . the staff are very helpful to a western person who could not speak Mandarin well . They were very helpful with me finding the special places I wanted to visit I stayed in a Buisness Man roon Very large with King sized bed this room androom for meetings. a Full sized Western Bathroom ( FULL BATH TUB & SHOWER ) . The High speed internet was very useful . . You are just 2 blocks from the Forbiden City . you can walk to Bahi Park and you are a 10 RMB cab ride to a set of Bars along a man made lake " LOTTUS LANE " when I return to Beijing I will stay there and tell all my friends to stay there . Please stay there if you are coming to Beijing .

"Enjoyed our stay at the Red Wall Hotel" We had two rooms in our group. The rooms were average size, very clean and modern. The only negative for our rooms was our window faced a wall only a few feet away. We stayed for 6 nights and really enjoyed the hotel. The breakfast buffett was excellent and included in the rate. The door locks were card activated and secure. The staff speak English fairly well and were always helpful. Just around the corner is a small hutong type street with various small market shops, restaurants and a modern grocery store. You can easily walk to the Forbidden City and a neat park (Jingshang Park). I was surprised there were not more reviews on this hotel as there were a lot of westerners staying there. However, most were staying there with tour groups so probably don't use the internet much to decide were to stay. The price was good and the location great. Taxis' were plentiful, cheap and easy to wave over out front. I would stay here again.
