LOCATION

The Hotel is located in the heart the Nature Park and biosphere reserve of Sierra de Las Nieves, a peaceful and quite place perfectly located at less than 15 minutes drive from Marbella.

A visit to the Refugio de Juanar is the perfect occasion to discover the joys of outdoor living: pure air, pine forest, delicate flowers (including a variety of wild orchids), wild animals (Golden Eagle, Eagle Owl, Spanish Ibex), and rare fir species (chesnut, Abies pinsapus…), the natural park has well–marked paths which will be enjoyed by the senderism lover.

* El Refugio de Juanar kitchen prides itself of supplying tasty food inspired in the surrounding Landscape, where game dishes and vegetables are a speciality: marinated partridge, venison, pheasant, quail, and, during hunting season, mountain goat. Seasonal vegetables are also very popular between our clients. We also recommend our delicious typical Spanish dishes such as the so famous Segovia–style roast suckling pig, lamb and roast kid, along with an array of international dishes.

* The personnel are at your disposal at reception 24 hours a day, attentively they will help you resolve any doubt you have or inform you of the different activities you can carry through the hotel, for example hiking with or without a guide, mountain bike, routes in four by four, or any other activity that you are interested in, in the surrounding areas or on the nearby Costa del Sol. You can also acquire different types of souvenirs at reception, for example, ceramics, oils, wines and other gifts, as well as sports clothes, maps, sweets for the little ones and basic necessities.

* At the same time you get even more comfortable if you spend an afternoon in lounge with a fireplace, where it is even more agreeable in the light of the fire. We also have another ample lounge on the top floor where you can go if you prefer to be further away from the cafeteria and the lounges on the bottom floor, from where you can also enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the mountains and groves which surrounds hotel.

* You can access the hotels cafeteria through our spacious terrace with capacity for more than 80 people, where the simple act of having a coffee turns into a delight for the senses, in the sun or in the shade of the walnut trees, always with the exclusive service of our personnel. On a sunny summer afternoon nothing better than a refreshing dip in 75m squared swimming pool, next to the hotel, with numerous sun beds and parasols , surrounded by leafy groves, clean air and a beautiful view. All this will let you live summer in a completely different way.

ROOM AMENITIES

* El Refugio del Juanar has a maximum capacity of 60 people, distributed in 20 double rooms, 1 single and 4 suites, all ample and decorated in a carefully designed rustic style, abound in wood. Bathrooms with hairdryer and toiletries, direct telephone (fixed and wireless), local-national-satellite television, minibar, central heating (air-conditioning isn't necessary) and room service. Some rooms get the sun in the morning and some in the afternoon.
