"lovely place to stay recommend it definatley!!"
what a lovely place to stay we have a large room over looking the river which is beautiful at night as you can see the gorgeous lights, good room size as we had a double bed and to singles a lovely walk over the brigde to the kCR at night or you can save your legs and it would only cost a pound to the station for 4 ppl which come in handy if you was tied at the end of the day or you wanted to say your legs at the start of the day.
the hotel has brillant facilities to use the gym lovely size a sauna a steam room a jacuzzi and a lovely swimming pool.. there is a light show at the harbour lookin over at hongkong island where they do lights from the island evrey night 8 oclock hongkong time.
you can go to hongkong island for the day by ferrie or by under train and at hongkong island u must go up the peak lovely view and can either go by tram or bus... bus is really long so i would advise you not to take that and its really rocky aswel lol
there is many more to do and i think a week and a half should do it..if you decide to book into this hotel make sure you book a room over looking the river!!!!
recommend it to any 1 x x

Really Regal
This was the first time I have stayed in the New Territories, my usual haunt being Kowloon so as to be near the museums, where I have business, but since this was just an overnight on my way home from Hanoi, I thought why not? Mustn't get stuck in a rut.
My experience at the Regal Riverside was super, beginning with the limo that whisked me from the airport (and back the next day). The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the food in the restaurant excellent, and the service superior. All this and the price was right!
Since they have a shuttle to Kowloon which will meet my business needs, I believe I will stay there on my next trip and explore the neighborhood |

"Shatin hotel"
Just returned from a 4 night stay in Hong Kong with our kids. We only booked a week before, so had a narrower choice of hotels - would have stayed at the Salisbury YMCA hotel. Decided to stay out in Shatin as we were planning a Sunday at the horse races anyway (only to find out at the track that kids under 18 are not allowed). The Royal Park was booked so we went with the Regal Riverside.
The hotel was fine - a little older, but large connecting rooms overlooking the river with nice comfortable beds - king in one room and 2 twins next door. The hotel staff had upgraded us to the Regal floor and threw in a free bus tour of Hong Kong which we didn't think we'd use at first but came in very handy on a rainy Monday! The location wasn't perfect, but it was only a 5 minute walk across the river to the KCR station and an easy 15 - 20 minute journey to Tsim Sha Tsui. The A41 airport bus goes right to the hotel which was another plus. The hotel gave us a free shuttle back to the airport.
Going in and out of the city became a little tiresome but for the price I couldn't find a similar quality hotel closer in (we paid HK$ 850 per room per night.
