"Superb location & good room"
Location is absolutely perfect: near everything but quiet, smart restaurants and cafès nearby, safe.
Breakfast waas very good, lot of choice and quality above the average.
Rooms are of very different quality. At first we had an awful room with the carpet and an old bathroom, but we asked for a room without carpet because of my husband's asthma and they immediately gave us a perfect room newly refurbished, the one in the web pictures, for the same price (of course!!). That room was quite spacious, nice and clean, with a very comfortable bathroom. It was on the interior side, so really dark, but we didn't matter.
Staff very kind and helpful.

"Comfortable hotel; excellent location."
I was pleasantly surprised by the Regina. It's quite reasonably priced, and, in my view at least, offers good value for the outlay. The room was very comfortable, with decent beds and a particularly nice ensuite bathroom. Staff are helpful and efficient, and will be willing to help you to organise sightseeing tours etc. Furthermore, it is excellently located, being literally in the very centre of the city.
Overall, a very pleasant and conveniently located hotel which I would not hesitate to recommend.

Noisy
Stayed fro 3 nights and wasnt impressed. Lovely hotel in a great location but the noise from the street was unreal. We got no sleep on the first night there. I have to say most of the staff were very helpful but on the day of departure we requested a wake up call but never received it. Little things like that would not encourage me to go back. Maybe if it was soundproofed a little it would help. |

"Amazing value"
Just stayed in the Regina with 3 girl friends. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the Porta del Sol so it's a great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and included in the amazing rate of £45 per room per night. The view from the window was a lovely white wall but who cares? The rooms were very clean and the bathroom even had 2 sinks.
The flight with easyjet was £36 and the Hotel £45 so the 3 days stay in Madrid was cheaper than a night in London!!

"Thoroughly Recommend"
I chose this hotel because of reviews I read here. It was the best I could do to refine my choices. Well, I am grateful to everyone who wrote well of it. It is a central as any hotel can be. It is very clean, lots of marble, perfect bathrooms with reliable hot water. Cheerful and helpful people run the hotel. There is a big restaurant which serves an excellent expansive breakfast. I didn't eat there in the evening so I cant vouch for that. There also a very agreeable bar which lets onto both the hotel and the street and which serves amongst the usual drinks a variety of tapas. Very nice after a hard days plodding around to be able to relax with a drink in the bar. All in all, this is an excellent hotel where they have made an effort to be visually entertaining with small but differently styled lounges on each floor and various arrangements of objects a la Gaudi/Miro/Picasso/Dali (might not be to your taste...but friendly and thoughtful). It is also very quiet. Most of the rooms are not at the front and the fact that there is no view is well disguised. I didn't mind that at all but some might. They also have free safe's in every room which we found a little eccentric to use but in the end worked well. I feel I owe them this review. Feel safe to book there! JM
NB We went to Toledo with Julia tours...DONT! Go on your own steam.

"Exceeded expectations"
I booked a stay in the Regina for my elderly parents (late 70s) having done a lot of research of reviews on this site. They would be quite picky generally, but came back raving about the hotel. I was very relieved as I had worried beforehand about sending elderly people to somewhere unknown.
Specifically, they remarked on:
-location (20 second walk from Sevilla metro station). Also close to all shopping, dining and tourist attractions
-safe area
-large bright room and immaculate modern marble bathroom
-nice reception area where you could sit and watch people walking past outside
-good buffet breakfast
-friendly helpful staff who helped arrange day trips for them
I got a great deal on needahotel and was able to do a virtual tour of the hotel beforehand through the hotel's own website. Although it was only a 3 star it seems to have offered my parents far superior service. Thanks to everyone else who posted reviews as these enabled me to make the right choice.

"Our kids loved this Hotel"
Four of us stayed in a family room at the regina in August 04.We were very pleasantly surprised and all agreed it felt like we were staying 4* rather than 3*.The location was perfect for visiting the city on foot. The decor of the lobby, bar and breakfast room were lovely. The bedroom was great for a family as it had a walled partition between the twin beds and the double so we were all togethr but had some privacy. We had large windows opening onto the main street right above the flowers and flags which decorate the facade, somehow this made us feel special (a royal balcony! which thrilled the kids) The bathroom was spacious and really nice. The decor of the room itself was simple but did not detract from a very pleasant stay-we will be going back.

"Fab time at the Regina"
Have just spent three wonderful days at the Regina Hotel in Madrid. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable , the location was excellent, a short stroll from Puerto Del Sol with plenty of bars and restaurants, the bar at the hotel was great and Antonio the barman was very friendly and smiley. One word of warning don't bother with Casa Patas flamenco and tapas bar , very unfriendly ,bad service and a rip off , they tried to charge us 8 euros for bread!
