"Excellent choice in Naples"
We stayed at the Mediterraneo Renaissance for 2 nights at start of december. Weather in Naples was awful, terrible! The hotel is very high standard for Naples and the location is perfect.. exactly in the city center, in the right side (not in spanish quartiers that are very bad and dirty). The room is well sized, very very clean, with parquet and a nice bathroom. The breakfast room is fantastic, with a stunning view over the city, the castle and the Vesuvio. It's also a good quality and quantity breakfast. Overall, it's one of the best hotel I ever stayed, expecially in Italy (may be the first). If you take an offer you can spend not too much. The only problem we had was a baby that screamed all the night, for 2 consecutive days... but this cannot be inputated to the hotel service.

"this is the best deal in town"
We stayed at Renaissance Mediterraneo using Marriott rewards for two nights on April 17 and April 18 th 2006. From the central train station in Naples we took a taxi , which costed 30 euro, little more than normal of 20 euro because of Easter. We were very pleased by the appearance and content of the hotel, very classy. We were treated very well by the staffs, despite some don't speak english. The front desk acts as tour desk, giving me the latest ferry schedule, walking directions to the Museum etc. The location of this hotel is the best, walking 5 minutes to the Molobeverde to take fast boat to Sorrento , Capri. Or 2 minutes walk to take the orange bus S3 to the train station , then onto Pompei etc. Next time when we came to Naples, I would definitely return to this hotel.
