Overpriced, underdelivers
Small, all studio suites, do NOT offer good value even at the amazing GTA prices. Staff is corteous. Elevadors betray the age of the building and are worrisomely shaky. Good breakfast and facilities. Clean.EVERYTHING is key dependent, including the elevator,so do not forget your key....
Outrageous extra CDN$19.-DAILY to park at the hotel, plus GST/PST (a real scam!). Noisy appliances in suite, poor A/C-heater unit, that is very noisy. I DO NOT recommend this hotel. Better choices exist in Van,BC. |

"Great place for families"
Vancouver is a magnificent city to drive into, as you enter this island of modern skyscrapers, as it's different from other big cities, as the skyscrapers don't touch each other. See it to believe it.
Our hotel was great. They moved us from the 5th to the 11th floor a view floor. Floor to ceiling windows; big room with two king beds, a "living area" with a big sofa, desk and TV console, and a kitchenette, with microwave, fridge, sink, range top, and all necessary supplies. The bathroom was spacious.
The breakfast buffet was fine every morning, with a whole bunch of fresh food, hot food, the works. The pool area was fine, with the big hot tub and pool. The pool could have been a touch warmer. There's also an exercise room.
The front desk staff was great, complete with maps, suggestions, and "hellos".
All in all, a great place to stay.

"Great location for Central Vancouver"
We stayed here for two nights before heading off to Whistler. It is situated right in the centre of town, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Once again the breakfast selection at a Residence Inn was great, hot plate, cereals, pastries etc
Despite the hotel being on busy Hornby St I did not find it noisy at all, in fact quite the opposite for a central hotel. There is parking in the basement at $23CDN per night which I assume is comparable with other Vancouver hotels.
The rooms were fine. Clean and tidy with everything you need. We had a little living area with a sofa and desk and I think we were in a studio unit which was plenty big enough.
We were fortunate to secure the Government rate of $90CDN which was lucky as I understand that the hotel can charge far in excess of this for midweek stays.
If it is a place to rest your head and spend some time exploring Vancouver, you can’t go wrong.

"Greatest Residence Inn I've Stayed At!!"
I travel a lot for work, and have stayed at several Residence Inns around the US. I was pleasantly surpised at how splendid this Canadian hotel was. I stayed in a suite with a full kitchen and dishwasher that housekeeping emptied for me when I ran it, a comfy bed, balcony, free internet and sofa. The room was everything I could expect and came included with dishes and utensils for the Kitchen.
The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. I could change money at the front desk, they were more than happy to print files from my Flash drive from their office computers instead of having me do it on the computer in the lobby. The room was immaculate when I checked in and housekeeping did a fantastic job of keeping it tidy. They also have a fitness room that has 2 treadmills and 1 Precor, and some hand weights. There are also 2 chest machines, but they were in need of some oil...kind of old. But that's the only downside. The pool and hot tub are inside and quite convenient. Breakfast in the morning (its free!) had a wide variety of options of food choices and was very good.
Mi Bar and Grill, the restaurant in the hotel, was quite possibly the best hotel restaurant ever. Not only did we get coupons for free chef's choice dessert in our rooms, but the food was excellent, they did special orders and the price was VERY reasonable. We ate there 2 nights during our 3 night stay, and had drinks on the 3rd.
All in all, the hotel was clean and in a great location in downtown, parking was convenient, the staff was friendly and accommodating, they have all the conveniences you could need or want, the food is great, the elevators are fast and I wish ALL residence inns had all the amenities that this one had. I will definitely stay here again if I'm ever in vancouver.

Worth every pennie
This was my first time in Vancouver and I am extremely happy that we stayed at this hotel. The rooms are very big, it includes a buffet type breakfast, it’s very secure and even though sites and attractions aren’t exactly next door, they are still at reasonable walking distance. Staff was very nice from the second I got there until the minute I left. Very spacious, very clean and definitely worth the price, I would return to this hotel any time!! |

Returned for a second stay
We relaxed on the huge sofa with a nightcap and had a quiet sleep in a wonderful bed. WOW. All this and we hadn't even tipped anybody yet, the staff were so quick. We made up for this on our return visit a week later. The rooms were so immaculate and well equipped that we didn't bother with housekeeping every day. One night I made a pate & cheese platter and cooked bison and veg and ordered roast potatoes, salad and good wine from room service, it was a feast fit for a king at a bargain price. We have even been cured of our hatred of hotel breakfasts; the cooked food, fresh fruit salads, snacks & fruit were beautifully presented, staff ensuring quiet and order, we lingered in the breakfast courtyard with the birds every morning. This Residence and the staff made our Vancouver Vacation a joy on both occasions. Oh, and the bums in this part of town have their own corners, this corner being the 711, and this bum one night buying me a coffee in return for a banana, then taking me on a free bus trip to get us the best cheapest sushi in town, then hailing me a cab for my return, a most enjoyable, guided evening (my husband thinks I went for a walk).

Spectacular Service and Best View In Town!
Stayed in room 3102 facing the mountains and West Vancouver. The room had floor to ceiling windows, a great bed, and excellent bathroom. My favorite part of the weekend was laying in bed at night staring out at the lights and the mountains!
Great front desk service. A four block walk to Robson street and great shopping.
