"Great Hotel!" This is a great little hotel (about 6 rooms) in an excellent location. We requested the superior double room with balcony on the basis of previous tripadvisor reviews, and were not disappointed. This spacious "junior suite" with walls finished in local fabric, a jacuzzi bath, dressing table and sofa was a delight, and also very good value in Venetian terms. The balcony itself is quite small, but provides a good view of the passing gondolas. (From what I could see of the standard rooms, they were also on the small side; but that's par for the course in Venice.) For breakfast, a good selection of cereals, spreads, bread and cakes was available. The hotel is mere steps away from the main shopping thoroughfare, about 10 minutes' walk from Piazza San Marco, and 5 minutes from the Rialto vaporetto stop; but the street itself is very quiet. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and recommended some great local restaurants. All in all, Residenza Ca' San Marco is a great find.
