Rica Hotels has opened a new hotel by the river Nidelven in Trondheim. The Rica Nidelven is partly constructed into the river. The hotel has its own fitness center with a sauna and relexation facilities. The hotel is one of Trondheim's most modern and well-equipped business hotels. |

Rica Nidelven Hotel is located by the river Nidelven in Trondheim. Right next to the Rica Nidelven Hotel, which is situated on the banks of River Nidelven, you will find Norway's largest in-door pool, Pir Badet.

* From the meeting and conference rooms, 1000 years of Norway's history flows beneath you. 1000 years ago Olav Tryggvasson sailed triumphantly up the river in his Viking ship. On the riverbed floor you will find the conference section with airy meeting rooms, all with natural daylight and a view of Nidelven.

Up and running smooth
The Rica Nidelven is by far one of the best hotels in Norway. If you are used to having hotel staff run around kissing your behind all the time then you should consider another country, its just not the scandinavian way. I am an airline pilot and stay at this hotel several times a year and it has always been a great experience. In general the standard of hotels in Norway is good but they try a little harder at Nidelven. The Food in the bar is really good, you have to try the chilliburger!. The breakfast is the best i get when on the job and I stay at many different hotels. The rooms are fair sized and nice and clean. The hotel has a great location short walking distance to the city centre and to Solsiden. a small mall with several resaurants and bars. If you like to stay in shape on your trips there is a good gym called "Sats" just a five minute walk away. If you dont like this hotel then you are too fussy and spoiled and should stay at home because you wont find a better hotel in Trondheim, beleive me I have tried them all. To be fair I must add that they have all been more or less pretty good, cant really say to stay away from any of them. The ovverall standard in Trondheim is good.
