"Great, great, great!!!" I would kindly like to express my great thanks to the most helpful reception staff I've ever met. Everything I asked for was honored with no hesitation but most pleasant attention. The room itself was also quite good and tidy, not like I had read in some guests' opinions as well as the delicious breakfast. After all my trip to Riga was one of the most fascinating and exciting trips I've ever had!

"Absolutely Fine" What a surprise, the staff could not do enough, the room was fine although there was possibly too much furniture in it. It was clean & fresh sheets were provided everyday & the room cleaned well. The breakfast was more than adequate. The only downside being the water was warm & not hot. For £40 a night for 2 people i was quite impressed. Have recommended to friends. Just remember the Hotel is undergoing complete revovation as it is very old.

"my favorite place steak house" visited riga 22nd jan-25th jan found riga excellent;good food (the steak house is a must try). plenty of places to visit lots to do. hotel kolonna very good. loads of coffee shops shopping center where you can by 200 marlboro for 8 lats as a smoker myself i found it cold to stand outside to smoke . but on the last day i found out you can smoke in some coffee shops just look for signs on the doors if there is only one symbol no smoking if there are two symbols you can smoke or just ask.

"No problems - very pleasant staff" BW Etoile Saint Honore. . . .it's a Paris hotel, so you get the typically quirky lifts and windy stairs etc. My room was an average hotel room - clean, functional, not luxurious but perfectly adequate. I was staying on business and it met all my requirements. The bar area is nice for a drink before setting out to select a restaurant for dinner - there are plenty a short walk away. There is no restaurant in the hotel although they do offer a limited room service. Breakfast is OK - expensive for what it is, but if you're not sure when you will be able to grab a meal later in the day it will do the job. It's a nice area - I walked back to the hotel on my own at 1.00am and didn't feel in any way concerned (and I am a woman). Hairdryers are useless - so bring your own, and there is no iron and ironing board as standard in your room - but I'm sure if I have needed one they would have provided this. The staff are what made this hotel stand out - they were so friendly and helpful I almost thought I was in the wrong city! They all speak excellent English, always spoke and asked how things were going and resolved any problems.

A good proposition Very spacious bedrooms, very good location, good service. Not very design but clean and correct.
