"Good experience, great pool" My favorite thing about this hotel was the awesome pool. I am very picky about pools and how clean they are before I get in. I couldn't wait to get into this pool each day. We were in Vegas for a conference for work and the conference was at the Rio. The only complaint I had was that they nickle and dime you for everything you need for the conference (for example, internet service, fees to move equipment into conference rooms, etc.). I am not sure if this is the hotel's fault or the conference's fault. The Rio is located off the strip which is the only possible negative I can think of, but they have a shuttle that will take you to the strip so that wasn't a problem. The restaurant in the hotel had great food at prices better than I expected. The VooDoo lounge on the roof was awesome. Although we were charged a $20 cover and then found out that friends that went up right before us didn't have to pay the cover. The rooms were larger than a standard hotel room, very clean, and nicely decorated. If I ever go back to Vegas, I will probably stay at this hotel. We got a conference rate of $149 per night for the room...this is a great price, but I have a feeling that it is normally more. See review for Luxor, which we were not pleased with.

"Excellent hotel for the money" I stayed at this hotel on a golf trip to Vegas in February. I liked everythign about it. It is a little older of a hotel and not on the main strip but that is okay with me. The bar on the 50th floor , Voo-Doo Lounge, was exciting too. I am a big city guy so the excitement of the hotel and Vegas were good for me. I recommend this hotel to stay in Vegas. You have all the amenities you need.
