"Nice Hotel" This hostel was very clean and quiet. Our room was very small but was nice in that it did have a sink and mirror in our room so that we did not have to go all the way down the hall to brush our teeth, etc.

"Good family hotel" We were recommended to go to Lido by a family we met at Marco Polo Airport after an anniversary trip to Venice. If you are going as a couple you would probably prefer to be in the centre of Venice, but with children staying in Lido saves quite a bit of money. The hotels are cheaper and the restaurants are cheaper and friendlier, and St Marks Square is only two stops on the vaporetto. We stayed in the Rivamare hotel which is quite a walk from the vaporetto stop in Lido but taxi's are plentyful and cheap, as are busses. But on a nice day it is quite a nice walk.The hotel is also set opposite the beach although we didn't go on them as it was a bit early in the year, but it did look lovely and added to the setting. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly (and always giving the children sweets) the rooms although not big were clean and bright. The breakfast room was again bright and airy and not stuffy as some hotels are. The breakfast was typical of Italian hotels and very nice. We had a lovely stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

"Great Hotel" We stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. The rooms are clean, bathroom very modern. Having been in Venice all day, nice to get back and have a hour or two on the beach. Would stay there again no problem.
