Bait and Switch, lying staff
We had booked and prepaid a triple room on June 23,2008, three months in advance of our anticipated stay in Moab. We came to Moab to particpatee in the Moab Century ride with several family members. When we arrived River Canyon Lodge reception employees informed us they had overbooked (“we have several busses coming in”) and they did not have a room for us, but they "would make it better" and we would get an "upgrade" at Super 8". The "upgrade" turned out to be a cramped standard double with a roll away where we had to stack chairs on the tiny table, to accommodate the rollaway. This was the only type of room Super8 had available at that point. There were no other rooms available in Moab that weekend. We had pre-paid $252 for two nights for a triple. Super8 told us, the room we staid in would have gone for $188, had we gone there directly. There was no manager available to resolve things, or get a refund. At every turn were told: "call on Monday." We were passed from person to person, each one in turn telling us they did not have the authority to give us a refund or offer any kind of satisfaction, besides a half-hearted “sorry”. They are great at stalling and evading.
