"Top Notch!"
After reading some of the other reviews, I was skeptical to say the least! We stayed here for a conference that my firm was having for 3 days. First of all, this hotel is HUGE - and I am talking it is the size of our largest mall in CT, times 20!! I needed a map to get to my hotel room! The room itself is nice. My room overlooked the golf course (where I was told Bill Clinton was playing that day!) and the volleyball/tennis courts. The rooms are equpped with flat sceen tv's which is nice and free HBO. The room was very clean and comfortable.
Now, to get the the luxury part. There were rocking chairs EVERYWHERE! right behing the concierge there are several sets of chairs so you can sit down and watch the scenery on the balcony. Very relaxing. We went to dinner that night at the Italian restaurant there, Calla Bella, and it was SUPERB. There were 5 of us in our party and we had 2 waiters. The food was simply divine and the service was great.
The excercise room is downstairs in the spa. This was nothing fancy but I thought it was a little small for a 1500 room hotel. It was adequate though and was clean.
As we were there for a conference, we had our food prepared by the hotel. This was FIRST CLASS all the way. The food was incredible. I told a colleage of mine "literally, I think it, and POOF! It appears!" They did a fantastic job assembling everything.
The only bad experience I had was with the concierge. They had 2 people there and about 5 people in line and both of them had people that literally took 25 minutes. Instead of telling the people who aparantly forgot to puchase all their Disney, etc tickets before their trip and book 17 dinner reservations to wait, they had all of us stand in line for almost half an hour. It was just bad service.
All in all this was a GREAT resort. I would highly recomend this to anyone!!

"Great Resort"
We had a conference in Orlando and were booker at the Rosen Shingle Creek. We arrived approximately 2 weeks after it opened. I don't even think anyone had been in my room yet!! The hotel is massive, and it is beautiful. The pool area was great for sitting out and having a few drinks.
The bed was huge and the linens were very clean. We had a great view of the area, and the giant flat screen TV was awesome for football. There was a woman who sold discounted park passes in the lobby and she was very helpful. If you are going to hit Bush Gardens, buy the passes at the hotel, when we got there they did not have any discount passes.
The only thing I did not like about the resort was the location, it was a little bit of a trip to get anywhere. We had top get to the convention hall early and the rush hour traffic was not fun. The resort was not very full, and I could definitely see a problem with parking during the high travels times.
The golf course was very nice, and we enjoyed the restaurants that were located on site. They had an ice cream shop, which was great.
I would recommend this resort to anyone, we had a great trip!
