"Great base for shopping & eating"
This was for a shopping weekend in Manchester - we're a 30 something married couple. We wanted a trendy type place to stay close enough to the shops, but far away enough from the crowds. The hotel was clean, minimalist, ecclectic and relaxing. The room was a standard double, and it was loft apartment like - we really loved it! Flannel curtains, trendy bathroom, comfy bed, nice furnishings. The diners kitchen at the end of the floor was a bit unusual, but we knew about it in advance so made sure we had PJ's to wear for our early morning coffee!
The hotel's just a short stroll from the train station, and they let us check in early (10.00). We were able to dump our bag and go straight out! They let us leave our bag with them when we checked out so we didn't have that hassle - other hotels aren't as kind when you stay just 1 night.
The other thing we liked is it's only 10 minutes to ChinaTown which is where we wanted to eat (great Thai place called The Royal Orchid.
We'd be happy to stay again - we've stayed at the Malmaison, and feel Rosetti has more of a personal touch.

"Trendy hotel"
I stayed at the Hotel Rossetti whilst on business in Manchester, it was conveniently located for the university and only a 10 minute walk to the Arndale shopping centre which has an impressive Topshop.
My hotel room was spacious and trendy with a toothpick mirror in the bedroom and a cool wall calendar in the bathroom.
I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Manchester on a short stay, as it offers the perfect alternative to chain hotels.
Despite this my concern is that the hotel has recently been taken over and is due a refurb in summer. Although some parts of the hotel are in need of a refurb i feel it could lose some of its character and room prices could be set to increase!
