Royal Barriere Hotel has something to offer everyone. The impeccable standards of service exceed those expected in a luxury hotel and are matched by the magnificence of the d�cor, which has been the subject of a major renovation.

Designed as a pied a terre for the international jet-set in 1913, this hotel opens for the annual polo and gaming highlights (mid-March through November) and New Year. Stars, well-heeled couples, and Parisians are not intimidated by the Palatial white facade with both sea and town entrances. The Belle Epoque interior features palm-tree chandeliers in the great hall, high-ceilings, and soft, patterned carpets.

LOCATION

Royal Barriere Hotel is within a half-kilometer of the beach, Planches boardwalk, and designer shopping.

PROPERTY AMENITIES

* Le Cote Royal:
Breakfast and brasserie-style food in the evening (Friday and Saturday; daily in July and August) is served in the Belle Epoque dining room with high-ceilings, period palm-tree shaped chandeliers, sunny yellow color-scheme and sea views through the large windows. Seafood is the specialty.

* L'Etrier Restaurant:
Gastronomic cuisine is served in a plush crimson interior with sea views. The emphasis is on fresh, seasonal produce and Normandy regional specialties. There are 35 covers, but in summer, guests are also served on the terrace, bringing the capacity up to 70. Evenings only.

* L'Etrier Bar:
Adjacent to the L'Etrier restaurant, 100 champagnes and a wide choice of aperitifs, whiskies and soft drinks are served in the crimson interior. Cartoon sketches adorn the walls. In summer, guests can enjoy their drinks on the adjacent terrace.

* La Piscine:
In the height of summer, guests enjoy buffet and bar by the poolside.

* The hotel features a Fitness center with hammam, cardio-vascular and free weights equipment (all complimentary), massage and solarium. There is also a hairdressing salon and beauty/nail bar and large sun terrace on the second floor overlooking an attractive courtyard. The outdoor swimming pool is heated.

* The hotel offers 14 air-conditioned and soundproofed rooms for 10 to 200 participants. There is one meeting room (capacity for 50 people) on each of the five floors, all with natural daylight. Video conferencing facilities are available. The business center allows guests to work on the computers, access the internet, fax, and photocopy. For larger meetings, guests can have access to the amphitheater at the Congress Center (1,500 person capacity).

ROOM AMENITIES

* This hotel has 252 guestrooms, all of which are decorated in traditional French style, with soft, patterned carpets and rich fabrics, accessed by wide corridors with Norman coats of arms above each door. Some rooms have a more modern style, and are decorated in plum or green tones.

* All have satellite TV and an internal channel to keep guests informed of the seasonal highlights (including international Polo Championships in August and the American Film Festival in September), dial-up Internet access, desks and chairs, safes, and pay movies. Rooms on the second and fourth floors have private balconies. Views overlook the courtyard, swimming pool or sea.

* Complimentary bathrobes, slippers, and toiletries await guests in the marble en-suite bathrooms with magnifying mirrors and towels warmed on radiators.
