"will return next time we come back to Thailand." Stayed with my Turkish boyfriend at this great Royal Meridien Hotel Plaza Athenee Bangkok when we came back from overseas. I am Thai and it is great to stay at a hotel in Thailand where they really take care of you - Amazing Thailand! My boyfriend and I loved the spa and had a romantic spa package. We were really pampered and the staff were very polite. We ate very good food in the Thai Restaurant and the Manager Pee Sac recommended some delicious Royal Thai dishes. My boyfriend and I would like to recommend this hotel and we will return next time we come back to Thailand.

"great!!" Royal Meridien Hotel Plaza Athenee Bangkok location is close (around 5 mins) to Metro station. The room is clean and comfort. Lovely views from our spacious room with a very comfortable bed. The restaurant is also very good, with a varied selection of foods and with plenty of choice. Pool is nice. Gym was new as is the entire hotel. I have stayed in Banyan Tree, Sofitel Silom, Davis Bangkok and several other hotel in Bangkok before. Although Plaza Athenee is not the best in all aspects, it is also great!!

"Excellent location 5 star at 3 star price" We had previously stayed at the conrad 2 years ago and really enjoyed our stay there. We were looking forward to going back, but when we priced it compared to The Plaza we decided to try the plaza and save $200/nt. We felt the plaza was just as nice as the conrad and was less expensive. The location is about 500 feet from the conrad and close the the Sky Train. The rooms were very nice and our bathroom was amazing. The staff were great and were always there to hnelp. The exec lounge was also great. If you book the club floor you can also eat at the main restaurant for breakfast. The swimming pool and the health club were also very nice. The next time we go back to Bangkok we would look forward to staying here again.

"Great Hotel!" Was in Bangkok last 29 Aug - 2 Sep 2007 and liked the Plaza Athenee very much. The room was large (stayed on a deluxe room on the 20th fl) and adequately furnished. All the amenities you'll need are in the room and the bathroom was spacious and very clean as well. Breakfast at the coffee shop was great and had lots of choices to choose from. It could get crowded at certain times but it was not annoying at all. Try to be there by at least 830am in order to miss out the morning crowd. Check-in was handled very well by the front desk considering we arrived at the hotel at around 230am. All the info eg. breakfast times were offered to us even without asking...was offered a late check out but till 2pm, still it was better than nothing. The doormen where very helpful in getting a taxi for you and telling the driver where you are headed...same as in arriving back at the hotel by asking if there are still some shopping bags at the trunk of the taxi. This was not mentioned but there's a free shuttle that brings you to Central Chidlom at 945am. Found out c/o some brochures furnished in the room. Overall, the wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Plaza Athenee and would highly recommend it .

"Unforgetable stay at the Plaza Athenee" Great hotel and terrific staff - the attention to detail was great and I really believe that this hotel' staff live up to the image of Thailand being "The Land of the Smiles"! I stayed in a Deluxe Room with my partner - the room was very nice and the bathroom amenities were indigenous to Thailand - a great touch. The Housekeeping staff were all very friendly and we met the room maid on a few occasions and she was very nice. We explored Bangkok during our stay (very handy for the Sky train to connect all of Bangkok) and found the Concierge staff to be extremely helpful especially in a river trip that they recommended. We never seemed to have to ask any of the staff for assistance as they were all very attentive and were always offering first. The swimming pool is an oasis away from the bustle of Bangkok and we enjoyed the Royal Thai cuisine at the Thai Restaurant - Smooth Curry. The bottom line is that we loved the hotel, especially all the staff who provided excellent personal service.
