Ocho Rios, where the Royal Plantation is situated, is a coastal town on the northern shores of Jamaica. The Dunn's River Falls lies roughly 6km away from the hotel while the famous Dolphin Cove lies 7km away.

Other attractions in the area include the Coyaba River Garden and Museum, the eco-adventure park of White River Valley, Fern Gully, Seville Great House and Heritage Park, the adventure park of Chukka Cove, Cranbrook Flower Forest and Firefly.
