"a classic"
Whenever I go to Brussels, I stay at Royal Windsor. I really love its excellent service. Location is perfect at the very centre of the bustling city near Grand Place. Hotel's decoration is classic and old style but very chic. Amenities are very good. I usually enjoy at sauna after tiring business meetings there. Restaurants are also tastefully decorated and offer rich menus for dining. At nights, I like going to Duke's nightclub if Im not so tired and enjoy there till the dawn :-) The staff at the hotel is professional and try to make your stay the best. I higly recommend it and I go back as soon as possible.

shame about the noise
Lovely hotel only minutes from train station and grand Place. can't fault staff, room or breakfast or indeed the very nice piano bar. However we were unfortunate enough to have a room at the front of the hotel and had very little sleep due to casino opposite and nightclub beneath. cars horns honking, lots of inebriated revellers shouting. very noisy. would stay again but ask for room to rear.

"Fantastic!!!"
Recently 3 of us travelled to Brussels for a weekend away and I was responsible for organising the accommodation. Well, as we walked in the front entrance, the jaws of my fellow travel companions literally dropped as they were so impressed with the initial presentation of this perfectly situated 5 star hotel. The rest of the weekend stay continued to impress with many fond memories taken home, not least the accommodation. At one point we were tempted to simply stay in the hotel the whole weekend and enjoy the surroundings and facilities. Both rooms we had booked were in fact 'suite' rooms and worth investigating your options to try and obtain one of these as they are far roomier with separate lounging areas - in fact our room had two flat screen televisions; one in the lounge area and another in the separated bedroom. We arrived late afternoon and after a 15 min wait, the second of our suites was finally made available but can assure you the wait was worth it. Service during our stay was second to none with any issues handled in a timely manner. My girlfriend and I in fact changed rooms after the first night as our initial suite had two single beds instead of the normal queen/king size bed we had expected of a five star - this request was however rectified with ease after a couple of phone calls to front desk. No swimming pool facilities at this hotel however there is a fitness room (entrance off the lobby an inconvenience) with a sauna in each of the change rooms. Fitness equipment was a little light compared to expectations for a 5 star hotel with no upper body machines at all, just free weights. Plenty of cardio vascular equipment if that is your thing however. Check out appeared to be busy mid morning and just a matter of allowing a few extra minutes if you need to be somewhere at a particular time. We had an extra delay of a few minutes as appeared the room rates had been incorrectly charged initially. This too was rectified with a smile and minimal frustration and certainly did not sour the overall experience. Location of this hotel is sensational and a mere 5 min walk to the 'Grand Place' which is easily filled browsing through the many Belgian shops and cafes on the way. If in Brussels again will certainly look up the Royal Windsor again. Can be pricey so worth shopping around particularly on weekends as the business travellers tend to leave and hotels of course keen to fill their otherwise empty rooms.

"Pleasant stay"
This was the second time I have stayed here. Breakfast has gone down hill over the past 4 years, but is still adequate. It would be very silly to pay full price; we paid 135 euro with breakfast for two through oteldotcom, which I was very pleased with until I read the review of the folks who paid 94euro50! So, the moral is, keep shopping. Excellent location, attractive decor, clean and comfortable. The only disappointment was that the desk staff seemed a little snippy, not what one would expect from the usually delight ful Belgians. Also, to get a twin room we had to take a smoking room, and it was rather unpleasant when we got into bed because of the curtains that were draped on the headboard. The second night, we pushed them over the lamps and it was easier to breathe.

"Classy hotel, perfect location, will book again"
This was our second time staying at the Royal Windsor, so we knew more or less what to expect. And we weren’t disappointed. Location, just a short walk from Grand Place, is perfect. Gare Cantraal is 5 minutes’ walk away, direct trains go from here to Antwerp, Gent, Brugge for example, and if you get here on Eurostar, it’s 1 stop from Midi (Zuid) station, free ride with your Eurostar ticket. We stayed in a superior room, for 3 nights. Lovely bed, very comfortable, choice of pillows and cushions, tea and coffee tray, desk with writing material, internet connection/phone, comfy leather chair, flat screen TV (which can be pushed back into a cupboard) with many different channels, including BBC, CNN, Sky, etc. The room has lots of storage space, electronic keys, and a good quality safety box. Bathroom is lovely too, all very clean and new, bath with two different showers, nice toiletries (shampoo, body wash, soap, bath crystals, emery board, cotton wool, etc), good hot hair dryer, and bathrobe / slippers are provided too. All staff were very helpful and friendly, speak good English and provided very professional service, which is always appreciated. The turndown service is an added luxury in hotels of this kind, not something we’re fussed about too much, but it’s a nice touch. When you come back to your room in the evening, they’ve pulled the bed cover off, prepared your slippers and a small towel by your bed, the TV is on to greet you as you come in (little wasteful, I know) and a selection of Godiva chocolates await you on your pillow. Being a lover of chocolate, this little touch was the icing on the cake for me. When in Brussels, I’m booking this place! In fact the décor of the room is all chocolate colours, from cushions to curtains. One thing we didn’t like was the automatic / computerised mini-bar. At first we didn’t realise, but as soon as you move an item in the fridge – it’s charged to your account, even if you change your mind and put the item back. We really would have preferred an empty fridge. Also there was some noise from the night-club on Saturday night, so if you’re a light sleeper, this may affect you a bit. Sunday and Monday nights were much quieter though. But for me, this is only a minor complaint, when everything else is done to perfection. I’m coming back here.
