Suite instead of two single with child - fanstastic!
It wasn´t possible to book as a family of four on this site so we booked two SR with child. We arrived three hours delayed to Marrakech with lost luggage (BA of course) in the middle of the night. We couldn´t believe our ears when the hotel management gave us THE SUITE (two dr, living room, two bath rooms and a kitchen...) instead.
We have only nice things to say about the hotel. EXCEPT for the phone talking girl in the reception - she ignores all customers and brings down the reputation of the place. But everybody else is most helpful.
When we returned from our journey we stayed as we paid - in SR with child beds. Rather dull rooms but functional. Helpful staff, except the reception girl, this time too.

"A true four star hotel"
I recently participated in a two week organized grand tour of Morocco spending the nights in what were reputed to be "four star" hotels. The Ryad Mogador Menara was the only one which matched European levels of a quality four star. It's a relatively new six floor hotel with huge rooms with balconies, and beautiful baths (with phone, hair dryer, etc.) with all the standard four star amenities. Spotless cleaning. Located on Ave. Mohammed VI (formerly Ave. President Kennedy)in the nice Hivernage quarter next to the Marrakech convention center (Palais de Congres), it has a huge pool, several restaurants, and a spectacular hall/lobby. Food in the main restaurant was excellent, and served buffet style, both breakfast, lunch and dinner. No alcoholic beverages. Stated low season prices were 1400 Dh single and 1600 Dh double, breakfast included.

"Remember you are in Morrocco and all is well"
I spent a weekend in the Ryad Mogador Menara, situated in a nice area just out of the hustle and bustle that is Marakech and never more than 10-20 DH from town loactions in a taxi. Definately a quality four star hotel with lovely communal areas and smart room interior. It's a relatively new six floor hotel with huge rooms with balconies, and beautiful baths (with phone, hair dryer, etc.) with all the standard four star amenities. Spotless cleaning. It has a nice pool, several restaurants, and a spectacular hall/lobby but is a "dry hotel" but you can grab a drink in next door hotel. Breakfast in the main restaurant was good. The Palais de Congres is next door and we watched from our balcony stars enter for the 2006 Marrakech film festival!

"Good Location"
The Ryad Mogador Hotel is located right outside the Bab Doukala Gate of Old Marrakesh. Some of the rooms have pretty views of the city with the Atlas Mountain behind them, and all the rooms have small balconies. The hotel is rated 3 stars, which is accurate for Moroccan standards, the rooms are modern, but have no carpeting (I think this is common in Morocco). The size was normal by European standars, and the breakfast was pretty good, with a diverse sample of available dishes. The website does make the hotel look more swanky than it really is though.

"I would recommend this hotel to anyone!"
Well after reading some of the reviews on this site, my boyfriend, his mother and I were all a bit nervous as to what to expect when we got there.
But it was such a great place to stay for such a good price (£80 each for 5 nights) - rooms cleaned daily, problems sorted out quickly, great and plentiful continental breakfast included in price, clean pool which gets the sun all the afternoon, friendly staff. What more could you want? It's also next to a large and modern supermarket, taxis are always in the area, and you can walk from there to the Medina and the Majorelle Gardens.
Obviously if you're looking for total luxury than this wouldn't be the hotel for you - so if toilet roll corners turned in, chocolates on pillows, gold plated taps etc are important to you then try one of the 5 stars.
I will definitely be recommending this hotel to my friends!!
