"Top Of The Table"
Booked this hotel through travelintelligence at a discounted rate through the off season and chose to stay at this hotel through the reviews from this site.
On arrival to the hotel we were greeted by very friendly staff and concierge and were upgraded our room....as seems to be the norm at this hotel and then escorted to our room.
The room was outstanding and very clean. I was visiting Venice as a suprise to my partner for her birthday and had emailed the hotel to ask if there were any options for me to suprise her when we got there. Although I did not get a reply from the hotel, I was amazed to find a chilled bottle of champagne and glasses left in the room for us complimentary.
The large corridors did make the hotel look remarkable although we didn't see many guests whilst staying at the hotel, possibly due to the season.
Experienced the beauty salon and we got a couple of massages booked, reasonably priced to be fair.
The boat journey wasn't too much hassle, especially after knowing that you had a nice room to go back to (if you were on your way back to the hotel.)
Loved the hotel and had a very enjoyable stay would stay here again for sure.

"Call off the search!"
If you want to visit Venice and have some luxury while you there - look no further! This hotel is beautiful, classy and luxurious. We visited in December 2006 and i can highly recommend. We stayed in a Deluxe double room and i had previously read about people being upgraded. This didnt happen to us but our room was really nice anyway.
The bathroom ws all marble and beautiful ( towel service Twice a day). Nice touches included bath robes and slippers and even bookmarks by your bed. They do a turn down service where they put the lamps on and leave a bottle of water beside your bed. The hotel decor was really grand and it was decorated beautiful for xmas. The only thing was it was really quiet which is not a minus to us but the bar area (which is really nice) was always empty. We loved the breakfasts there and found that the fresh fruit, cerals and cooked breakfast set us up the for the day, meaning we did not need a lunch. We also visited the spa once and had it all to ourelves ( although i did not have a treatment). The staff was very polite and very proffesional and the courtesy boat came every 30 minutes and was never late. The boat journey to town takes about 10/15 mins and we always enjoyed it.
i would not hesitate to go back at all. Visiting at this time of the year meant we could not use the swimming pool, however seeing the hotel dressed up for xmas more than compensated this.

"Amazing!"
Myself and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on the 15th December 2006. I have to say that our experience was fantastic. The hotel is really very very nice. It is huge, and spacious so you never feel ontop of any other guests...you can have your own space. We had booked a double and got upgraded on arrival to a deluxe double which was very nice. The room was lovely, nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The turn down service was a nice touch, the rooms were cleaned every day and the sheets on the beds were changed every day which I thought was a nice touch also. The bathroom was huge with a lovely bath although it did take a little while to fill up! But the water was lovely and hot which was nice after a cold day in venice! Robes, slippers etc were all included in the room.
We enjoyed very nice facials and massages in the spa, where the staff were very professional and very nice.
Any downside to the stay? The price of food is very expensive. On arrival I got a club sandwich in the bar which cost me 25 euro! for a plain ham and cheese its 15! A 3 course dinner in the middle-priced restaurant with the cheapest bottle of wine cost us 190 euro! Needless to say it was delicious but a little expensive!
The boat to venice was regular and always warm which was great.
Staff were very friendly which was nice and they were very helpful.
We would definitly stay here again at the drop of a hat. Its a lovely hotel and although the food there is expensive, it was very good and you could always eat out in Venice itself!
