"Good hotel"
Having visited this page before travelling to Venice and reading the reviews of the hotel I might have decide that the trip and stay would be unpleasant, as there were comments about unfriendly service and bugs in the bed and air conditioning that was innefective. None of the above were true!
The hotel was welcoming and beautifully decorated with venetian glass chandellers. The breakfast room had tables overlooking the Grand Canal and the breakfast served was a buffett style, although it was hard to concentrate on eating as it was facinating to watch the comings and goings on the canal.
The hotel is situated by the bus station and if you close the shutters the noise is not bad and even if you had the shutters open the buses do not run into the night. The location is great because it means that you have to walk through Venice to see St Marks Square so you get to see all of Venice. You certainly see all of Venice this way and no journey to anywhere in Venice is the same due to the complexity of the canals and bridges. Great fun.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice. It is a delight.
