"Fabulous hotel, excellent location"
My husband and I stayed in the Saturnia in a deluxe room and were thrilled by the service and location of this charming hotel. The deluxe room was huge in size with a beautiful chandelier about the huge bed. The room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom very modern.
The breakfasts were excellent with just about everything you can imagine. Also, the hotel has free internet access for guests which is so much nicer than trying to find an internet cafe.
The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is absolutely the best location you can get. Close to St Marks Square and walking distance to everything.
The only thing that we didn't like is that there is no iron in the room (irons are forbidden in Italian hotel rooms apparently) and the laundry service is expensive.
Overrall, the hotel was excellent. I didn't see the standard rooms so I can't comment on the negative input some other people have put on this site.

"Would Definitely Stay Again"
We stayed at the Saturnia one night pre-cruise. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Prior to arrival, I requested assistance in booking the Doges Palace Secret Itinerary tour which they took care of quickly and confirmed. They were wonderful in providing directions and though they did offer one of the private taxis to Murano, there was no pressure at all. We had a triple room which was really 2 rooms. Air conditioning functioned well, though throughout Europe, it is generally not what we are used to in the US. Clean room, comfortable beds, fresh flowers and a modern bath. Location was great no matter which direction we set out to. Free internet is available to guests as well, so it was nice to be able to let family know via email that our travels were going so well. Our breakfast was included and there was a nice selection of breads, rolls, eggs, yogurt, fruit, juices, etc in a courtyard setting. More than enough to start off our day. Would definitely stay here again.
