"A pleasant suprise!!"
After reading many reviews on The Savoy we were expecting a cold run down shabby hotel. In reality my family and myself found great value for money, cleanliness and overall an extremely enjoyable stay. Our room was newly decorated to a good standard,clean (I have stay in many higher calibre hotels and not found the bathrooms this clean) We booked our room last minute from the hotels website the tariff was excellent value for money. From my experience if you want an idealy situated hotel-away from the main hustle and bustle, near car parking and want a basic clean hotel- this is the place to stay. If you want swimming pools etc.. other hotels will fit your criteria better. Britannia Hotels who now own The Savoy are in the process of reburbishing the hotel from what i have witnessed this program is well under way.

"Great value for money"
after reading the previous reviews we were a little concerned. we booked in with minimum of fuss. the room had recently been refurbished and was very clean. we had a sea view. the staff were on hand for any queries and were always efficient and helpful. full english breakfast or continental was self service and certainly set you up for the day. at 30 pound a night from lastminute.com we will certainly go back . thank you.

"Very good hotel"
Prior to staying at the savoy i read the reviews and went very concerned. But all I can say is we must have fallen lucky as our 3rd floor bedroom was above average and very clean. The breakfast was ok so all in all we had a decent stay.

"perfect"
i dont know what everyone is complaining about. Me and my partner went away for a 4 day break and it was wonderful, the staff were nice, the hotel is great for a short break away and we had a wonderful stay, would not hesitate to go back again.
